    Xbox One Series X: Dashboard UI - Expectations/Improvements/Wishes


    Hello there,

    the Xbox One Series X is soon upon us and along with it comes a new Dashboard. I would like to ask you what you generally expect from it or things you want to see what the current Xbox One doesn't have or does poorly.

    Personally, I would like to see dynamic themes to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Don't cluster the tiles too much together so that you can see the background more. Put the ads on another tab where I can't see them straight away and don't show stuff
    that's irrelevant to me.

    Also, please bring back snap mode. I know they made the decision to remove it based on the percentage of people who used the feature, but in my opinion snap mode was really handy and with the extra power it shouldn't be a problem now.

    I think more dynamic social features would be a welcome bonus. Something along the lines of bringing avatars back, more options for friends list customizations (maybe like groups or something you can name,) maybe the ability to 'nickname' people on your
    friends list, badges akin to that of the Xbox MVP or Xbox Ambassador Programs for various things like say Gamerscore merit or the Xbox Insider Program. Little things like that would be nice...

    Dynamic themes yes! Or at least what we had on the 360 where each tab had a new background because we had theme packs. That needs to come back. More personalization.

    I fully support you here mate. I want these things too. The clustered tiles do not bother me as much, since I pay no attention to them. Also the return of snap mode would be fab.

    Dynamic themes would be good, I like the idea of moving stuff around on the home screen and customising to my hearts content.

    The advert tiles don’t bother me at all, they can be great little reminders.
