    Xbox One/Series S/Series X Wired Controller Static Problems


    This has been a problem with Xbox consoles since 2013, for me. Much of the time, while playing or in menus, I hear static and audio cutting in and out. This happens with all controllers, and three different headsets. Including a Microsoft Xbox wired headset, and my current Arctis headset.

    Xbox One Day One Edition - multiple controllers (maybe 3 or 4? all MS OEM)

    Xbox Series S

    Xbox Series X

    This issue spans three consoles across two generations, at least five different controllers, and three headsets. Therefore, it is either a major hardware problem with Xbox consoles/controllers, or a major software problem. Regardless, I'm looking for any kind of fix for this long running issue.

    No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

    Xbox Series X|S controllers are fully compatible with the Xbox One, One S and One X. Also the Xbox One controllers work on the new Series consoles.

    I've tried all those links before, and all my controllers are fully up to date, and I've always been good about that.

    One more tidbit, is my son has an Elite controller and has never had any kind of audio issue between the One S and now Series S he owns. So, with that said, I believe this is an issue with the standard Xbox controllers, or between those controllers and all the Xboxes in your line. Please let me know the next steps I need to take to resolve this issue.
