    Xbox One Serie S stuck updating and give me the error E200


    Hi there ! First time posting hoping to get some help !

    I bought recently a used Xbox One Serie S for cheap (30 euros) with a known fault (the seller told me that it was hard drive related) and sure enough, first time i plugged it home, it try to apply a update and give me the error E200 at 80% aprox of applying the said update. I tried what's on the Microsoft website for those kind of error so factory reset, manual update with the OSU 1, and even checked the price for a repair from Microsoft (a good 200 bucks wich hurt compared to the price i got it). Some people suggested on anotehr forum to do a complete factory reset, unpluging the console when it turned itself off, wait a good minute then plug it back and go directly to a manual update but nothing changed.

    Then i put the new Hard drive ive bought for it, a 1To replacement, formated for xbox with all the partition and guid via a program wich i cant remmember the name ... Also put the A and B with the files in it from the OSU 1 and followed all step but it still block at the same point.

    Im starting to wonder if the problem is the Motherboard itself at that point. I'm doing a full scan of both hard drive (old and new) to see if anything is wrong with them but im out of option at that point ...

    Can Xbox One get a virus from a web browser?

    When i did those steps, an error message saying “Something went wrong” with the system error E200 000000EF pops up and gives me the options of restarting it or troubleshooting. I restarted it and now its just stuck on the cycle of either freezing on the green startup screen or only giving me the option to restart it. Any suggestions?

    So I got this error as well. Nothing seems to fix it. I went out and purchased a brand new Xbox One S. Same problem! System installs that fall update patch and boom E200 USB won't fix it either!

    I have not idea what it is either! I originally got E200 0000005A 00000000 then did an update from USB. Now a couple of weeks or a month later, it wants to boot from the start and give me: E200 0000002F 00000000.

    I couldn't get it to come back until I reloaded/updated from USB. It seems like every time it loses power and has to do a full boot I get this E200 error!!

    "E200" may signify a system update error.

    If you are having trouble updating your system, or if you're not sure, perhaps what is needed is the offline system updater tool.
    Note: this will require at least a 4GB flash drive formatted as NTFS.
