Xbox One Sent In for Repair... Question.

Hey Comm,

Sent my Xbox in for repair a couple of days ago. Did all sorts of trouble shooting and it seems like the video card is going. I paid the $115 + $10 for expedited shipping to get the darn thing over to the service shop. I was under the impression that the
unit would be automatically swapped for a Refurb but other things I've read recently have made me unsure... Does anyone know the skinny?

Just to clarify,you would get the console on a Friday,that's how it's always been for me when I've sent consoles of for repair.

Just a quick question regarding sending off an xbox one for repair. I've sent mine off, it's arrived in Frankfurt, Germany, for repair. Do I get an email when the repair is complete? If so, does it contain a tracking number? I'm in the UK so anyone in the UK
who has done the same, if you could reply, I'd be grateful!

 

A refurb is the last option. They'll try and fix the console you sent first.

 

They'll pick the quickest option.If it's quicker to send you a refurb than repair your console then that's what they'll do.

It's all about a quick turnaround time to get you a working console back to you as soon as possible so most of the time you will get a refurb.

Well, That makes me fee a bit better... The prospect of 21 days with no gaming is a bitter pill to swallow indeed!
