    I read online on Fortune Magazine that the Xbox One sensor will be removed from the market.

    This is very disconcerting. We use the sensor with a proprietary product as do many other developers. It does the job extremely well and there is no replacement for it. I do not understand why Microsoft would kill the sensor after they have sold over 34
    million of this device. In my opinion, 34 million makes this a successful product. However, I would bet that the decision maker has no clue how many Xbox consoles were sold because this sensor was available and can be easily added on. I would strongly urge
    MS to reconsider this ill advised decision and continue to sell the sensor.

    Kinect 2 use with xbox 360

    Hi

    It is not possible to use Kinect 2 sensor with an Xbox 360 console the sensor can only be used with and Xbox One, Xbox One S and a PC.

    I regret to say I do not have an Xbox One Kinect. But, this maybe a situation where the Kinect itself needs to be updated, see Update your Kinect sensor at "Your

    If you’re having trouble with your Xbox One Kinect Sensor, verify that the sensor is turned on. You’ll know it’s on if the Xbox logo on the front of the sensor is lit.

    if you mean the 360 Kinect sensor the the answer is NO! It's not compatible with any of the Xbox One models.. You need the Xbox one Kinect sensor.. unfortunately both the Kinect sensor for the Xbox One and the Sensor You would need to use the sensor with
    the One S ((and the One X) as both the One S and One X lacks the kinect sensor port) has been discontinued by M$, dont' know about awailability of the Xbox One sensor from reputable retailers, but the adapter is sold out and is only awailable form places like
    EBay and similar at "blackmail" prices

    To play the Kinect games released on the Xbox 360, you will have to play them with an Xbox 360 console with the Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor.

    The Kinect Sensors are not interchangeable between consoles (you cannot use One Sensor on Xbox 360, nor a 360 Sensor on Xbox One), as both Kinect Sensors have different, proprietary Kinect plugs, and the games are specifically programmed to use the exact Kinect
    sensor on the console they were released on.

    I think the Xbox One and Xbox 360 Kinect sensors use completely different, proprietary connectors, so compatibility between the Xbox One Kinect Sensor and the Xbox 360 sensor is not there, and there would be no special adapters available as well.
