    Xbox one sees connection but says wrong password and won't connect to wifi


    Hello all. My xbox one will work fine wired. Using Wireless it finds my connection and asks for the password. i input it and correctly i might add. It just comes back with wrong password. I have two 360's in different rooms and they come online with no issues
    and both are on wifi. My laptop connected to the wifi before i made this post. It seems to be a one issue.

    I rest to factory default hoping that would fix the problem. It has not.

    Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

    My Wifi is fine, but my Xbox One won't connect to Xbox Live. I've restarted it 3 times now! And every time I enter the password, even though it's correct, it says it's incorrect.

    So I'm at college and I'm trying to connect my Xbox One to the wifi. The wifi requires a username (Our ID) and a password, but when I try to connect to the wifi on xbox one it only asks for a password and there's no place to put the username, therefore the
    password is always "wrong" and I can't connect. Anyone have any suggestions?

    I hate to say this, but have you tried entering your WiFi password more than once, just in case you typed it incorrectly?

    I knew you said that it was correct, but I always take the approach of trying the most basic solutions first. You've done a factory reset.

    Have you tried doing a power cycle on your console? Unplug it for 2 minutes. Also, reset your router by unplugging it for 2 minutes as well. Do the same for your modem.

    Please check if you may have a MAC filter on your router activated, so the One may not be allowed to connect.

    I couldn't help but notice you stated "using the same Microsoft account as my xbox one is as well." The MS Account log on needs to be the same but if you phone is connected to the AT&T network and not using the WiFi from the router, then it won't connect
    even if you manually enter the IP address because it's not seeing it on the same network. If you go to your Phone, select WiFi, then enter the password to connect to the WiFi. Now try loading the Smartglass app and it should see your Xbox One. If you don't
    connect your Phone to the same WiFi your Xbox is using it will never see it. Hope this helps!
