Xbox One search functionality?

So we've gotten a lot of updates since this feature was removed and I'm starting to think it's never coming back.

I'm referring to the only other Kinect feature I used besides ("xbox, mute" now "cortana, mute") which was "Xbox Bing "Tv Show/Movie" " and get results that weren't only in the MS store.

For example Xbox Bing Vikings would display the usual findings but once you click into Vikings it would show that this is available on Hulu and Amazon but because Netflix wasn't listed it obviously doesn't carry it. Is was extremely helpful in finding what
I was interested in.

Now the only thing that shows up is Vikings in the MS store to purchase and that's it. Or Cortana bings the internet for Vikings and I get the football team.

Haven't tried online yet, playing single player campaign stuff, will wait for stability before I go out there.

I agree, I miss the old search feature. Hopefully it eventually gets reimplimented.

As this is a Support forum we cannot speculate on the return of some features, but this is certainly something you will want to voice on Xbox Feedback, which is read by Xbox teams in Redmond to gauge interest in features.

Hi there Jay!

Sorry to hear about the issues with the Twitch application, can you try clearing your cache? This'll just make sure nothing may be conflicting with your application.

Power down your console.
Unplug the power cable from the back of your console.
Wait for a few minutes.
Plug the power cable into the back of your console.
Wait for the power brick to go from a color white to an orange light.
Turn it back on.

And try typing on your Twitch application again, if the problem with the search function still persists, try uninstalling the Twitch application and reinstalling it.

Tell me how these steps go for you! Update me with the situation once you return.

Hi thanks for the reply. I just tried both methods but the problem is still there. Only thing i can think of is will a factory reset clear these bugs i got?
