xbox one screenshots question

I am looking to take a screenshot from a video clip that I made (paused at the part I want a screenshot of), but I don't see that option anywhere. Can someone help me out?

I even tried it with kinect on and it says that it can't take a screenshot....

Hi, I don't believe that this is a feature of Upload or Upload Studio.

The reason Kinect didn't let you do it while watching the video is because you can only take screenshots during games.

 

So I have to take a screenshot in the middle of my gameplay and just hope that it captures what I wanted...?

 

You can double tap the Xbox button and press Y to take a screenshot instantly.

Despite the notification telling you it's been taken, the screenshot will be taken exactly when you press the screenshot button or tell Kinect to take a screenshot.

 

however, this doesn't work from a video clip already created, right?

The option disappears.

Basically, I am trying to pause the clip at the very moment I want to take a screenshot and the option is gone...I don't know why

 

Because as I previously said, you can only take screenshots in-game. Not in apps.

 

MS should really add this feature...Otherwise the screenshot feature is virtually useless.
