Xbox One Screenshot and Skype

It was great to see the screenshot functionality added with the March 2015 update. However, I was a bit disappointed as I thought that the function would allow screenshots to be taken while in a Skype call. On PC and Windows Phone, the ability to take
screenshots is great for a Granddad and it would be great to have this ability on Skype on Xbox, my now preferred way of Skyping with my grandkids. Any idea if or when this functionality will be added to Skype on Xbox?

I call bull on that. All that the screenshot shows is that the person has been suspended from LIVE and therefore cannot use Skype, not that they were suspended from Skype. As far as being suspended for cussing in vids uploaded to the Upload Studio, that
is against the ToS and CoC.

 

Linking Skype App with different Skype credentials under the same Xbox one profile

Hi,

I am experiencing issues linking my Skype account with my xbox one account.. let me explain. I have two microsoft accounts , 1 for my PC and another for my xbox one, smartglass and essentially anything xbox related.

I read the article on "How to link an existing Skype account with a Microsoft account on Xbox One" but this does not help my scenario.

When I iniitally set up my xbox one , I signed in with my xbox account credentials ( same ones I used for xbox 360) and then opened skype with an old skype account (username and password).Since then I can only access this old account and wish to replace
it with my new account.

I found a way around this by - adding another user to xbox one and entering my desired account details.

I want to change this so that I have my current xbox one account with my current skype account.

I've tried to describe this with as much detail as possible but I know this may be difficult to understand ....only if screenshots were already on xbox one...

Can anyone help?

Some peps may abuse it. Nothing wrong with knowing real friends and meeting up in real life not just online and taking selfies with a phone. Some peps may not like you taking snapshots without them knowing.

 

That may be true, I suppose, but those kinds of privacy concerns have not resulted in disabling Skype screenshots when that app is used on either the PC or the Phone. Also, while such a concern might exist if it were possible to simply call random people
by Skype, that is not the case. All persons on a Skype call have to be on each others "friends" lists.

But your point, regardless of its questionable validity, doesn't seem to address the question asked. Does anyone know if screenshots will eventually be available in Skype as well as in games?

 

Doubt its ever added. Screenshots is only supported while playing games, doubt MS is going to bother activating certain apps for the functionality.
