Xbox One Screen Tearing

Anyone who says they dont see Screen Tearing in Titanfall at the beginning of matches is blind or just doesn't care enough to notice it.It's minimal but its 100% there and also not a big deal

 

Well, I was actively looking for it 4 ft. away from my 60 in. TV and saw NOTHING even resembling screen tearing.

 

Last time I encountered screen tearing was a couple weeks ago. Do a hard reset.

Here's how;

1. Quit any games or apps before doing this

2.Gently press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the system turns off.

3. After the power brick light goes orange unplug until the light goes off.

4. Plug the power brick back in wait for the light to turn orange.

5. Turn on the console.

Your console should function normally,If not it may be required to be serviced.

It's not the TV. Some of you guys really do not understand this topic at all. Please stop giving out bad information.

 

On a 2 week old unit, tearing occurs in all games and even video after running for 20-30 minutes. (disabled instant on and multiple apps, aka Snap).

It's spuratic, starts in the middle of the screen and drifts down.

Obviously the Xbox is going back this weekend.

If the replacement can't even manage Netflix/Hulu/AmazonPrime as well as a $35 USB dongle, it's going back and that's it.

Very bad initial user experience, quality control needs work as Microsoft.

Same TV ran all at 1080p on the same port (I tried): FIOS STB, Sony Blu Ray, Gaming Rig, Laptop, ALL FINE

Also the TV ran an ancient XBox 360 on the VGA port just FINE.

NONE where like this MESSY defective product.

(Also Kinect, as a second generation product and after 1.5 years of software updates is far worse than worthless, it is a pain to the system, seeing hands that don't exist and failing to recognize those which are real--cool concept, yet unrealized. This
is NOT a consumer ready product... I should have read more, but most of what's written on the internet is... well you know, you read it-trash)

You've pretty much just described the whole forum.
IMO.

 

Only screen tearing I've seen is in Titanfall and sniper elite 3. None anywhere else.

 

They LIE!

Returned the Kinect XB1.

Purchased a 1TB Xb1.

Same v-sync issue… 2 or 3 times an hour a tear emerges at the half horizon mark(bottom of screen is a frame or more behind); It drifts down at a uniform rate over 90 seconds, eventually restoring v-sync

My bad, I returned a product that is inherently defective as a hardware/software defect. This is how MS XB1 is… can’t even display a video steam as smoothly as devices that are practically free. (Google Chromcaste)

It has NOTHING to do with CPU/GPU load, it’s just a DEFECT in RECENT hardware/software.

…I’m having fun playing several games, it’s merely an annoyance there, but LET’S BE CLEAR: PPV is for things I really WANT to see, and see without tears.

The STB or old Blu-Ray will get PURCHASES before XB1 as it (stands… XB1 FALLS/FAILS)

Come on, when the competition is Verizon and Sony as cheap as they can go… I just don’t understand this. The hardware can do so much more.

MS, care a bit more about substance and FIX THAT, over whatever you do now. (image is nothing with a teared image)

I went sea fishing on an Open party boat. There was a dude that was mentally challenged. We were all very helpful and the dude was great. Caught a lot of fish. One guy caught a fish and it unhooked to fall in the bait tank. That dude lost his mind screaming
that "it's gonna eat all our bait!". For an hour...he finally calmed. His response was more rational and literate than anyone still screaming about this GPU/CPU crap...dum dum dum DUM!!!

 

Sniper Elite 3 screen tearing disappears after enabling V-sync... except in a few parts of one mission, where the framerate lag is rather disappointing.
