    Xbox one screen super dim


    Ive read in forums years ago about this problem where peoples consoles would be super dim on start up. For the past three days ive had this same problem, ive reset my console 8 times, ive unplugged my power cord and waited 5-10 minutes, did a hard reset
    on the console and then unplugged it. Ive done every step that anyone has recommended and it didnt work. Im not planning to send my console to xbox because my mail system isnt the most reliable and i dont want to spend 300 dollars for a new one if i can help
    it.

    My Xbox One dimmed the screen last night, and then turned itself off after an hour of being dimmed. I had it sitting on the Ryse pause menu, and was out of the room. I don't think the screen dims while you're in sight of the Kinect, because I noticed if

    I'm having the same problem on my Xbox One. All my other devices hooked up to my TV display perfectly, and are not super dim like when I turn my Xbox on.

    Hi Ashley,

    Try this to see if it fixes your issue with dimming.

    You can change dimming option in Settings. Just head to Settings > Preferences > Idle Options.

    Here, you can change the amount of time before the Xbox One will dim the screen, with options of 2, 10, 20, 30, 45, and 60 minutes. You can also use the option on the left to disable the aforementioned idle notifications if you prefer a more private experience.

    It’s generally best to power off your devices when you know you won’t be using them soon, but this option to manually trigger the Xbox One’s idle screen dimming is handy for times when you need to quickly step away but don’t want to wait on a complete power
    cycle.
