Xbox one screen keeps going black every few seconds

So up until yesterday I didn't have this problem. My screen never flickered black as much as it does now. Every time I start up my console it starts up normally but almost instantly after that my screen goes black and after a few seconds it comes back and then goes black again and it just keeps repeating forever. I've tried changing my HDMI cables (3 times) and I still have this problem. I've just factory reset the console and it's still flashing black even on the setup screens and it's super annoying. I hope it's not a permanent problem. Any ideas as to what it could be or how I could fix it cuz it's really annoying and has ruined the past few days for me

Hopefully this problem gets resolved with speed for you.

I would like to ask, did you test the console on 1 other TV, or multiple?

I ask this because it may not necessarily be a problem with the xbox or cable, but could instead be a problem with the HDMI port on the TV itself if it is only 1 TV you are having the problem with.

The port itself may be visibly damaged if you are able to take a look at it.

That does complicate things.

I am a gamer like yourself so I tried to help with reffering to my own experiences on other consoles in hopes that it may help.

At this point I personally would have the console looked at but I am not an expert on this topic. if the console is still under warrenty it may be best to firstly put in a support ticket to check if it is an issue Microsoft is aware of and potentially send it in for repair, I understand it can be inconvenient but it may be the best course of action given the circumstances.

Maybe so, the Xbox automatically recognizes the tv or monitor it's plugged into and automatically adjusts the settings for that screen.

*If this happens again, go to your console settings, in the general tab click on the TV and video options, check the resolution and see if it is in accordance with your TV or Monitor, also check the video fidelity, and overscan.
