    As you can see my cbox is not filling the screen with the image correctly. I was able to fix this once 2 months ago. And suddenly it happened to me again today. I cant fix this with any setting and no online search has brough be back to the solution i used 2 months ago.

    Never mind I found it was set to dvi video not hdmi upon the reset.

    I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

    After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

    First, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2 to 3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

    If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

    If you are still having the same issue, please follow these steps :


    1. Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure
    2. Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console
    3. Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV
    4. Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV
    If you are still encountering the same issue, please select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose reset and keep my games and apps.

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    Leaving it unplugged for a couple minutes solved the display issue but now there is no audio. I checked the hdmi connection and the cable is fully seated.

    Sometimes dropping the consoles display output to 480p will sort of trick your tv into filling the screen, the picture will probably look stretched though.

    You could also check to see if your tv has a setting something like fill screen, that might work.
