    xbox one screen dim every 10 minutes


    Hi,

    I thought what might be a sound issue in fact might be something else. After doing a bit of research online it seems I'm not the only console owner with the issue where the screen will dim around everyone 10 mins or so.

    I've tried all the fixes, like unplugging the power and resetting etc. Nothing appears to be fixing it sadly. For me, this is also happening in games. If I leave FFXV running and not play for around the 10 mins, the screen will dim, Pressing a button on
    the controller will restore the normal screen.

    Is there a fix incoming for this? I'm new to the xbox scene and hope something like this isn't going to be let unfixed.

    Literally just started having this problem for the first time since owning my xbox one. Screen dims every 10 minutes.

    Hey there BritishDarren.

    You mentioned the screen dims when you leave a game running and not play, this is normal console operation. Are you having this issue when watching video content as well?

    My xbox one is now having this same issue. Watching Netflix, 10 minutes or so later, the screen goes dim. This just started yesterday for me. VERY ANNOYING.

    I had this same problem after the update. Contacted Microsoft two times and was told to just hit the controller when this happens. After hours of messing with tv and xbox settings I decided to do something that support should have suggested. I restored the
    console to factory default and reinstalled all my apps. Its fixed. Maybe Microsoft should give me a tech job.
