XBOX ONE Scorpio might launch ahead of schedule

I may get PS4 Pro as it comes out in 2 weeks. Xbox Scorpio.... 1 year later XBOX ONE Scorpio might launch ahead of schedule :( When Scorpio comes out, if it has a Kinect port and isn't too overpriced, I'll get rid of my Xbox 1 console and buy it. Sony is selling PS4 Pro in NZ for only NZ$639. I don't
believe Microsoft can beat this price, they'll probably charge NZ$799 or more for Scorpio.

Other reasons why I'm considering it is World Of Final Fantasy. Also Final Fantasy XV. Better playing on a system with 218GB/s GDDR5 bandwidth rather than playing the game on noticeably lower resolution on Xbox 1 with only 68GB/s DDR3 bandwidth (from the
demo's for Xbox 1, it has VERY BAD anti-aliasing, and like 560p resolution or something). On PS4 Pro, it could be 1080p native with good anti-aliasing. Also Final Fantasy XV has been development for a whopping 10 years!! I'm not waiting another year for Xbox
Scorpio to come out. Also Microsoft has a habit (they're not the only company, HP, etc) of charging more than the currency conversion even with NZ GST on top of their asking price, for stuff. NZ$1 = roughly 97 Australian cents, and it's been like that for
the past 2 years. There's also been speculation that PS4 Pro can do 8 teraflops computing power according to numerous YouTube videos.

I like Xbox. Guess I'll have the opportunity to experience both worlds.

Do you consider the X a new generation?

A wiser move would be to get rid of the Xb1 name all together, release this as a next gen console that is also backwards compatible.

They've done this already! Why else would they bring out a PROJECT SCORPIO themed console and ditch the branding if it wasn't for people asking for a new-gen experience? It might *look* like an Xbox One X, and *play* like an Xbox One X, but there's no mistaking
the livery. It's called "Project Scorpio" for a reason (although what that reason might be is anybody's guess) :p
Its called Project Scorpio because people really liked the name and Microsoft wanted to release a themed console at launch that would be "exclusive" so as to increase demand, same as what they did with the "Day One Edition" of the Xbox One X

    Xbox one Scorpio exclusive games?

I guess,Windows 10 team are trying to sell a bit more Xbox one, until next year.

-VR games will be "exclusives" to Scorpio and i guess even without VR some games might be only available on Scorpio.

And 3rd party devs/Publishers might abandon very quickly current gen,a year or two after Scorpio release.

    - Scorpio will runs games better even without a 4k TV.

Let's take Tomb raider (reboot) on Xbox 360.Now take Tomb Raider definitive edition on Xbox one ,play it at 720p and even at 720p,the game perform better on Xbox one.

    Same with GTA V..

Their "you need a 4k tv speech" is just to bring some consumer to buy Xbox one S this chrismas and not wait until Scorpio release.

A speech that might change with the release of Scorpio.

(But of course,it will be even better on a 4K tv.

It's intentional, they said in the bulletin (think it was the bulletin) it was ahead of schedule and might get released early.. I was thinking April 1st maybe, but guess they went even sooner.
