I have a zyxel p-663 gateway. My Xbox is using Ethernet. I have tried opening the ports for the Xbox. I have tried setting the Xbox up as the dmz host. I have tried following the guides in the support forum. If i set the Xbox up with a static up it will
not connect to live. I have it set to dhcp and logged into the router and set the ports to the ip adress assigned by the gateway. To test the gateway I set up port forwarding to my laptop and tested with the portforwarding websites program. I am able to verify
that the gateway will open ports to my laptop but when I program it back to the Xbox ip and run the test I get open Nat in Xbox connection but moderate in call of duty. I am out of ideas any help would be appreciated. Also upnp doesn't change anything.

    :)

of note when I hit the bumpers and triggers it says I am behind a cone nat. xbox one says this is an open nat, ghosts says it is moderate.

    status code:

    0x1040040000000000

this is with upnp reset, etc. I went thru this

ghosts says moderate nat, one says open

I finally picked up Ghosts on sale. I did not have to do anything to get Open NAT in the game (my One has also always been open); however, I have a router with good, working UPnP. I will say that Ghosts did open port 3076 UDP via UPnP, which is consistent
with what folks have been saying: Ghosts apparently (and stupidly) does not use the standard port 3074. In short, for those with Moderate NAT in Ghosts, try forwarding ports 3074 through 3076 UDP and TCP to the Xbox One. Or, get a router with working UPnP...

I am in South Carolina and Frontier Communications is my isp.

After running the multiplayer test with UPnP enabled the Xbox says it's all good but cod will not access live. I can watch videos on amazon prime but can't play cod.

    Hi all,

Hope this can help. I had the same problem with the One. I do not know your setup but here is mine. Knowing my setup my help others.

Internet = Cable (30 Meg download speed)

Xbox One = Ethernet wired into router

Modem = (was) Motorola surfboard, (now) ubee MODEM / ROUTER COMBO (Router set to "off" by cable company)

    Router = Linksys ea6500 (aka 1750)

I was showing between 109 - 129ms lag on the network connection test on Xbox One. So I thought maybe something on the routers Ethernet connection was jacking it up. I tried to connect wirelessly and could not connect due to DNS server errors. The Xbox
One was setup in the DMZ with proper wired MAC address when it was wired and proper wireless MAC when attempting wireless. I called Microsoft / Xbox support and explained what I was trying to do. The gentleman that was helping me was really helpful. So
we found out that my cable company had not disabled the wireless completely on the Modem / Router combo. Xbox One sensed a conflict and to keep the matches stable on CoD it would bump my NAT on the game only to Moderate. Mind you my Console was still open
coned (which btw is fine to have a coned open NAT). So without having to go through the cable provider he (I allowed him) accessed my router directly through my laptop that I hard wired into the ea6500 to the Motorola modem. He turned all the radios down
to an effective range of about 1 foot. Reset in this order Modem / Router / Xbox One. Bam! Open Nat on both Xbox One and CoD. It stayed that way for a week. Now here's were I know it was not a freak thing that it became opened. Since I got the xbox one
on launch night / day, I had began to smell a fairly strong odor of hot plastic in the room that houses the router and modem. I thought it was the router because it stayed hot all the time. So one day I decide to place it on something that would allow air
to also go under the router. Somewhat better it became but the smell was still there. So I continued the search for the smell. It was coming from the Motorola modem / router combo. Basically what happened was the two routers where competing to keep each
other safe CONSTENTLY and It was burning up the Motorola boards in the modem. When the radio on the Motorola was turned down as much as it could be it allowed the ea6500 to cool down a lot. I had already contacted Linksys before the radio on the Motorola
modem was turned down. Linksys was sending me a new router thinking the router was bad. So I called the cable provider to get a new modem. They did not bring a Motorola, so I have this ubee which was a modem / router also. I had them shut the wireless
off or what I guess they consider off. Here's where CoD Ghost went back to moderate NAT. So I called Microsoft / Xbox back. Once again (suprising as it may seem I got another very helpful person and we confirmed that everything that could be done to the
ubee was done from our end. What did we do fix it? Well the box tech called into the cable provider with me and had them put the Modem /Router into bridge mode. Now the modem is just a modem and my EA6500 does all the routing. BAM as soon as it was done
and I reset my Xbox One I was open NAT on Cod Ghost. I was never able to get the Xbox One to connect to my router wirelessly. No biggie though I would rather be wired in direct. Also found out if your on a "Dedicated server" from Xbox, then you are connecting
to that server in Washington State. So I am on the east coast. Guess what? Ping times are going to be longer hence the 100-129ms latency when I tested the connection on the Xbox One. So in summary what you want to do is call Xbox support and have them help
you to see if you have competing wireless signals that can cause the Xbox / CoD software to put you in a moderate or strict NAT. This will happen even if you are directly wired into your router. Seems to be an issue with these cable providers giving out
modem / router combos and the consumer having a router already. Also if your One is in the DMZ of your router you do not have to port forward. If you'd rather not put your One in the DMZ you can port forward. I know it's a lot of info. But I hope it helps
you understand or maybe you can use this as a guide when you talk to Xbox support.

Yes and No according to Xbox the software for Cod Ghost on the One uses some other ports too. When you put a Xbox One in the DMZ it will open and close the ports only as needed so if a port needs open it will do so and then close it when not needed. The
way it was explained to me is that the One in a DMZ environment will manage it's ports on its own. But I understand some people do not want it in a DMZ so then Yes you would need to set port forwarding for all ports needed for Cod Ghost and Xbox Live.
