Xbox one says it has no wireless connection

Thank you for reaching out. Before pulling the trigger on any sort of hardware replacement, I'd like for you to try an

offline system update. This allows you to update the console without directly connecting it to an internet connection. You will need a windows based PC, a usb flash drive, and a stable connection to download the update. Let us know if this helps!

Full power cycles sometime do wonders with odd problems.

Can you possibly try connecting an ethernet cable direct to your router from the Xbox; even temporarily to see if it comes up right and possibly does update.

Sorry for the issue with connecting. You can hit the guide button on the controller, go to the far right icon called system, then go down to restart console. Once the console restarts then try and connect to the internet.

Thats an issue. I'm currently and temporarily living in a motel. The cable and internet connection is direct tv and one router (?) operates everything. Well, I can't access it anyway. I've been here awhile and have not had any issues. Other devices of
mine read different networks available and my wifi great. So is there a way to reset possibly offline or fixes without the router?

Thanks for the update and valuable information. I know you mentioned that you were afraid to perform a soft factory reset but that sounds

like what is needed to resolve this issue. If we reset the console, it'll wipe out whatever glitch is keeping you from being able to recognize the

local wifi / network. If you're able to access the settings to reset the console, follow these steps:

If not, then we'll have to try by accessing the backdoor trouble-shooting screen.

We would like to troubleshoot the console itself a bit more in an effort to clear this up we suggest a full reset of the console from the Troubleshoot screen by using these steps :

1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.
2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.
4. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
5. Continue holding the BIND and
   EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

Once the troubleshooting screen comes up, select
reset console and then select reset and remove everything. Once the Xbox resets, you'll

need to reconnect to the network, get the latest update and redownload your profiles.
