    My son has a gold membership on his 360. I don't have a gold membership. If I add my son's profile to my new Xbox One, then it will give me gold membership as well?

    STOP... Sorry guys the trick worked fine until i launch call of duty Ghost! When i try to play online, a message appears "you must be connected to xbox live to play games on xbox live" (translated from french).

    Sorry for the false hope Xbox One Saying I don't have gold membership. :(

    Now i can see that i have one month subscription but can't play anymore online!

    The problem appears after the last firmware installation... maybe its because i live in Belgium where the xbox one is not officially launched!? Official launch 5 september 2014...

    hi, sorry mister cerb the troubleshooting stebs that you have suppled has not helped me, it still says that i have to have a gold live subcription, when it goes to subcription page , it says : looks like you are ready to go, it then returns to game and says
    this profile is not allowed to play on xbox live.....my gold subcription ends 17-9-2014 . it is the gold live trail offer..........simon

    Just got xbox one this week. Played PVZ garden warfare for 2 days and this happened to me. it just kept showing "You need gold for this" this is disappointing Xbox One Saying I don't have gold membership. :(

    Same problem.

    Worked fine a little bit ago. Tried to play PVZ Saturday and got the LIVE required type popups.

    The GAMES WITH GOLD page now tells me to sign up

    If i go to my subscriptions it says I have GOLD until March 2015.

    Very annoying as I just bought Diablo 3, and would love to play with friends.

    Agreed. I expect Microsoft will be bumping our LIVE subscriptions to reflect as I haven't been able to play anything with friends... which is the point of the service.

    Now spoken with support via Live Chat and Twitter. No one has a solution.

    I agree with the others that a month of Gold for free better be forthcoming. I have not been able to play Madden online and this is getting ridiculous.

    Ok, tried the factory default reset thing, and can confirm it doesn't work. This problem is definitely server side and has nothing to do with either the recent update or our consoles.
