Xbox One S

Can't believe they are not going to release new stock of the Xbox One S 2TB.

Anybody else think this is a bad decision by Microsoft.

Or does anybody have any more information on this apart from eurogamer

Xbox One FAILS at 4k Rendering

The player above is correct the current Xbox one console cannot render 4k resolution on the Xbox one S has that feature at the moment.

Perhaps if you posted a link to the article we would have an idea about what you're talking about?

 

Bit rude but I'm sure people can work their way to the eurogamer website without people holding their

hands.

It say's that they are not going to replenish the stock now that its sold out.

 

Just a guess, but with the 500gb - 1tb model soon to hit the shelves. Maybe they didn't expect to sell out of the 2tb models so soon? - And if the production run for the 500gb - 1tb units are well under way. Why stop production in the middle of a run?

Only tine will tell, they must be trying to shift more consoles by appealing more to people who want to stream 4k or watch Uhd blurays by making the console more affordable, plus alot of gamers already have bought a bigger hd so would likely be happy with
a 500gb machine that costs less

It appears most websites are quoting eurogamer who spoke to MS directly, so it is what it is:

I would still be using external storage anyway as I like the idea of being able to plug it into any console should I need to send one off for repair or whatever. At first I thought OP meant they're not making anymore slims full stop and I was a tad confused.

 

With the ability to use external hard drives it's not a big deal if the 2tb is discontinued. Maybe they make more on the smaller hard drive models. I'm glad I got my 2tb S though. Now I'm sitting on 6tb of space
