    I just bought a brand new xbox one s. The controller will not turn on the console. I have to turn the console by pressing the power button on the console itself. Is there a way to fix this? We just bought it yesterday and plugged it in last night.

    Xbox One FAILS at 4k Rendering

    The player above is correct the current Xbox one console cannot render 4k resolution on the Xbox one S has that feature at the moment.

    Hello Joseph,

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue with being able to turn on the Xbox One S console by the way of the controller.

    Have you attempted different outlet sources by any chance?

    Does the controller have any issues with syncing, and if connected through USB connection does the controller then turn on the console?

    Clarify this information for us and also have a look through our Console Won't Power On article.

    Try this out for us and let us know if this works.

    How do you reset your outlook password when you get only options to enter the console ID for Xbox One or Xbox 360 and I have an Xbox S? It rejects my console ID for both options!

    There's no such thing as an Xbox One Series S. There's an Xbox One S and an Xbox Series S. That game is only available for the Series S/X, not the One. So if you have a One S, it will not work.
