    Xbox one S won't use my wired controllers


    I have a few wired Xbox controllers (was tired of having to buy batteries), and they've been working pretty fine until today. I plug in any of my controllers and they turn on, but the Xbox doesn't. The Xbox turns on manually, But it doesn't seem to register any movement I make with the controllers. I tried changing the USB port I use (normally the front one, and I moved it to the back ones) But that doesn't work either.

    I have, a PDP crimson Red wired controller, an afterglow wired controller, and the original controller that goes with the Xbox (used with wire instead of wireless).

    The controllers all have problems; PDP drifts, afterglow's bottom d-pad doesn't work, and the original turns off randomly. I don't think that stuff is related though.

    I think it might be something wrong with the Xbox, But I'm not sure what it could be?

    No, it's not possible to use an Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S controller on an Xbox 360 even connected with a wire.

    Wired Controller for Xbox One???

    I really miss the wired controller. I used to use it for competative gaming and for my PC. Microsoft made a huge mistake when they discontinued this controller. Again I will be looking to purchase a wired controller for competative gaming and it won't be
    coming out of Microsoft. Just another reason to not care about XBOX One or Microsoft.

    I had switch to my original Xbox one s controller and it worked. The RIG Pro compact wired controller didn't work.

    The one on the left of this picture "worked".

    The one of the right didn't!!!!!

    It won't work unless you use the original controller from the system.

    Hi, Dericka! When I connect it using wired connection (special xbox wire for this controller) windows 11 recognizes it like just "controller". That`s it.
