Xbox One S wont update or install new games

I tried to update a game about 2 days ago and it say at one percent for an hour before saying installation stopped. i’ve tried constantly since then and now it does the even stop the installation anymore it just constantly stays at 1%. I decided to try deleting the game and reinstalling it, but now it’s stuck at 1% installation. I even tried installing another game to make sure it wasn’t just the game and it still isn’t working. I’ve tried restarting my xbox, unplugging everything and plugging it back in, trying the download logged in on different accounts, etc. Absolutely nothing is working.

Kindly check first if you have enough space on your hard drive for any game installation.

If it has enough space, please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Try setting up manual DNS settings.

1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Solution 3: Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try updating or installing any game and see if it works.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

Sorry to hear about the issue. First let's suspend the download and try running your Xbox One console's Detailed Network Statistics (found in the

Xbox One's Network Settings) and let us know what the results are. Additionally, try doing another Detailed Network Statistics while the download/install is occurring to see if that number changes while you're installing a game. Please post each of the
results of that test, if the results on the second test are really close then feel free to just post up the first results so we can see if this could be related to a network issue.

Checking in. Day 2 my brand new xbox one S still wont make it past step 3 of the startup. Once it tries to update i get the error code...

If you have an Xbox One S or One X and installing from disk you could use the machine in Offline mode. This may install
the disk content first and you will still need the online update but it wont be as time consuming as it is an update rather than install. I would suggest you consider doing this after the COD download finishes

[/quote]original xbox games (from disc) cannot be installed to an internal (4gb) memory unit on the S console because it doesn't have a certain partition that is required for the update to be installed on. Same goes for buying certain aftermarket hard drives
(such as one from amazon.com usually sells for around $50). i bought one and thats what happens, wont install the update to the hard drive

but i dont play original xbox games from disc anyways so its not a problem for me.
