Xbox one S won't update/fails at verification step

Im on an insider build 18999.2005, the initial update was a new insider build , that failed at verification, i tried many times and then proceeded to soft reset , hard reset, factory reset , nothing worked. At this point i figured if i left the insider program then it would force a public release version to be the new update , sure enough the update changed to a 3.8gb OS 18363.7194 download , that again failed at verification step , ive used DMZ from my Bell HomeHub 3000 , i even port forwarded the 3074 port , ive restarted it numerous times along with the xbox , ive used WiFi and Ethernet connections, all with the same result , fails at verification step. As well since i fully reset the xbox i only have access to the initial startup screens (language, location, update) because as ive stated once i come to the update option , it fails everytime at that damned verification step. Ive spent the last day trying everything to fix this , even the OSU Usb option. Any help would be greatly appreciated as im 10 days past the return date for bestbuy and would rather not wait 3+ weeks for a Microsoft repair. I have no idea if this is related to the insider build I'm currently stuck on or if it's a general Xbox issue but I'm desperate for help on this

Because your a insider the best way is to go to the dedicated reddit page for insiders as they can help you with your issue and xbox support cant help you due to the fact the build isnt public released

This is more than likely the power brick has failed. Same thing happened to my x360 and the reason I updated to Xbox one X. Time to update to a new console I suggest.

Either the next gen Series S/X models or XBox one S/X.

You won't look back, but will wonder why you didn't update earlier.

It won't take the credit card info (verification fails on xbox.com's side). It won't let me buy points using the same paypal payment that I use for xbox live subscription. Fail.

Likely right though. Just overload from the holiday.

Obsessive Power

The 'App password' for the Xbox 360 is a work-around for the two step verification system available for the Xbox One/Series X|S. As the Xbox 360 doesn't support 2 step, you need to use an 'App Password' on these consoles.

For the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, you need to use your Microsoft account password.
