Xbox One S won't turn on and power supply keeps beeping when plugged in

Hello. I recently replaced the internal power supply in my Xbox One S. I turned on the Xbox to ensure the replacement powered it up and it worked. Shortly after, I unplugged the xbox as I did not have the time to use it for the next few days. After a few
days, I plugged in the Xbox and as soon as I plugged it in, the internal power supply began beeping and the xbox would not power on.

So far I have tried unplugging the xbox for a few seconds and plugging it back in.

I've plugged in the power cord to the internal power supply (while disconnected from the xbox) to see what happens and it still beeps as it did when it was connected to the xbox.

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any other suggestions?

Note: My xbox was still under warranty, but I live in The Bahamas and there are no Microsoft repair/service centers here so I had to self diagnose and repair.

Hello Kenwood,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. As it seems you did all the basic troubleshooting for the console. By chance, do you have the console plugged into a power strip or extension cord. If for some reason they are faulty, this would cause the
internal power supply to trip. You can set up a repair on the website at
Device support. When you do so, put a note in there stating this is the second time this has happened. Also might want to check the outlet if the console is plugged directly into the wall. Sometimes they can become faulty also, putting out surges.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for replying. I have tried different outlets as well (with and without my UPS surge protector). Unfortunately, I live in The Bahamas so a repair is not an option for me as shipping in and out of the country is expensive due to government taxes.

I'm just hoping that I can find another solution or a tip to help troubleshoot whatever my problem may be.

The only problem now is that you could not get the Xbox serviced by Microsoft as you’ve broken the warranty seals no doubt.

Also I believe discussion of self repair is not allowed on the forum.

Hey Kenwood thanks for keeping in touch!

In an effort to provide a bit of clarity here, if the console was in warranty we would take care of shipping both ways as we would provide a shipping label. Unfortunately if the console is sent in for a repair and our repair center determines that there
have been previous repairs such as swapping a power supply then they wouldn't touch it and return it to sender as unrepairable. To be quite honest your best bet would be a third party such as a local repair shop. Hope this helps.
