Xbox one s won't switch over to 4K

picked up a Samsung KS8000 4K HDR tv and have it hooked up to my Xbox One S. All the settings are lit green for the 4K and HDR features after activating UHD for the HDMI input. However, whenever I switch the resolution to 4K, the screen flashes on and off
for about 20 seconds and then an error says that the console had trouble changing to 4K and it reverts back to 1080P. Also, when opening Netflix, the application causes a black screen of death where the video feed drops completely while the console and tv remains
on (tv displays an error explaining the input has lost connection.) I can still use Cortana and my Kinect to put the system to sleep and then restart, which brings the signal back and I'm back in my home screen, but I'm a bit frustrated because Netflix just
won't come up, even after deleting the Netflix app and reinstalling. Has anyone else w/ this set experienced this issue? This is one of the highest rated 4K HDR sets for low-ish input lag, 4K and reasonable gamut support for bonafide HDR, but it just doesn't
seem to want to play nice w/ the console.

DirecTv 4k signal not passing through Xbox One S.

I can confirm that a 4k signal won't passthrough my Xbox One S either. I've tried my DirecTV C61k (4k capable), TiVo Bolt and Amazon 4k FireTV. The One S won't pass through 4k from any of them. This sucks and is the MAIN reason I went ahead and got an
Xbox One S. If I wanted to stick with separate inputs for my DirecTV and Xbox One I would have just stuck with my original Xbox One. Not happy...

Error (91d70000) is in regards to, "4K is supported by your TV, but not at 60Hz. You won't be able to upscale to 4K, but, depending on your TV, you may still be able to play some 4K and HDR content. To see what your TV supports, choose 4K TV details."

Have you tried different HDMI ports on the TV? While the TV itself may be 4K, actual 4K resolution may only be supported by certain HDMI ports on the TV, usually the first one (HDMI-1).

 

I'm having similar issues, only mine does say is accepting an hdr signal. My problem is the games look terrible and I'm not sure what's happening. I can't imagine why a 4k ultra HD TV looks this bad in comparison to a 5 year old 1080 led. I have tried Halo
5, R6 siege, Gears 4, even tried to watch Warcraft 4k last night. All were disappointing. I'm also using the ks8000 60 inch, and I'm about to return it It's not worth the money in any way shape or form.
