    Xbox One S won't start games


    Hello All,

    My xbox suddenly dumped me to the home screen yesterday in the middle of a game. Now it won't get past the splash screen on ANY game and keeps sending me back to the home screen with no error message.

    All apps are working fine and I can stream movies etc. I have restarted the console, logged out, changed profiles, hard reset and have now factory reset. Still the same problem.

    The console is located on a flat surface with adequate air flow.

    Any ideas?

    Luke, did you ever get a resolution?

    I've got 2 identical xboxes, and the one that is my "home" xbox is having issues identical to yours. DL/disk games, different vendors, different users, doesn't matter. Games show their splash screen then crash. I've reset it thru the system settings, pulled
    the power plug for 5 minutes, nothing helps. The discs that crash on this play fine on the other. I'd love to know what the solution was.

    When I search it, Blizzard states it is a Microsoft error.

    That also does not explain the error for the other games I have.

    Best answer so far! Unfortunately I've tried all of those things and it still sits as a glorified netflix box!

    if even after the factory reset the problem persists, I start to think that it does not depend on the system.

    First of all, you can check this service interruptions . If everything's fine, proceed as described here for troubleshooting with disc
    games     and digital games .
