    Full Disclosure: I have a Sony STR-DH790 receiver. It does Atmos and X. The console BD settings is set to "let my receiver decode audio". I have both the Dolby and DTS apps for the console. I've turned Atmos on using that app (and shut off upmixing but that's another story). Atmos has been working fine. But X? I've tried turning it on through the app and it still says "DTS: X disabled" above the little video sample they use. Playing X discs, I get no sounds from my heights.

    What am I doing wrong here?

    Xbox One X Dolby Atmos not working

    My Xbox One X is connected to my receiver. When I try to setup Atmos in the audio settings Xbox One X says that my receiver, Denon AVR-4300H, does not have Atmos capability. I am only allowed to choose DTS for the bitstream sound output. Atmos works fine
    with my Samsung 4K player so I know it is an Xbox One X issue.

    The Dolby App does not give any error until I try to view the demo videos where it flashes, "you are not viewing this video on Dolby Atmos." It plays the demo video on DTS instead.

    ATMOS and DTSX Support.

    I don't understand why many people are not voicing concerns. Almost all 4K movies come with atmos or DTS-X. It's unacceptable Xbox one S which is marketed as a 4K player won't support these formats. Microsoft should fix this quickly.

    New update causes avr Dolby atmos problem

    Yes i have the same problem with the one x with netflix.

    The atmos logo is always on in the display but there is no sound from al the speakers with a 5.1 or 2.0 source.

    With a non atmos source the receiver can upscale with dolby surround or dts neural x so it must be.

    Blu ray works fine without atmos pushing so the receiver can do the upscaling.

    ATMOS and DTSX Support.

    I'm on the preview program and can confirm it's beta stage but I've not got it to work with any of my Atmos/DTS-X movies yet. Soon as I hit play from the menu I get a loud click through my speakers and no audio once the film starts.

    Atmos/DTS-X works fine on PS4 and my stand alone br player. Hopefully another update is due before public release cause at this stage it ain't ready.
