Xbox one s won't play 4k bluray

I recently bought the revenant on 4k bluray and when i try to play it it tells me that the disc is unplayable. I talked to xbox support and they said its a known issue that some titles won't work and told me to come here.

UHD Bluray won't play in 4K on 4K non HDR TV

So I have a Samsung 4K non HDR TV, and my xbox one s will show up in 4K when I am on the dashboard, but when I install a 4K HDR bluray disk it only displays in 1080p. Any reason for this? Do the UHD bluray disks not play in just 4K if its also not HDR?

My Bluray 4K works.... but in FULLHD instead of 4K

Hello, my name is Emilio, i bought a new xbox one S last week with a couple of Bluray 4K movies, i have a Samsung 4K TV, and when i connect the Xbox it's working at 4K but, when i played the movie 4K it works in FULLHD instead of 4K, when i finish the movie
and i use Xbox for games, or other thinks it works another time in 4k.

So.... why when i play bluray 4k the definition turns to FULLHD? do you know how to watch the bluray 4k movies in 4K instead of FullHD?

Microsoft - please don't mark this as "answered" until there is actually an answer to this systemic issue. This doesn't seem to be isolated to a "few", but rather a relatively large percentage of the currently available media.

The HDMI IN on the XBOX ONE / ONE S / ONE X are all just 1080P there is no 4K pass through on those consoles.

Every bluray I have (one 4k UHD Bluray and dozens of regular bluray titles) does not work with the Xbox One S I have. They work just fine in my other Xbox One (regular 500gb, not S or elite XBO, and obviously not the 4k UHD bluray) but every time I get an
HDCP error for 5 minutes flipping between the error screen and bluray app frozen, then it just tells me it cannot read the disc. Apparently the Xbox One S needs a different bluray app than the regular Xbox One bluray app. Maybe if the community was allowed
to make a bluray app for the Xbox One S it could save Microsoft some face since I have more faith in the community at fixing a problem via their own bluray app than Microsoft fixing it.

Well two things first xbox one s is NOT a 4k console

Second it's only when you play UHD movies or streaming UHD content that you get 4k from an xbox one s

Projectors aren't the greatest for 4k compatibility it's more for.computers and blurays then consoles which are more stricter to vesa
