Xbox one s won’t finish offline update

One day I got on my Xbox to see a error so logically I try to fix it using YouTube. I try to offline update it and it gets 33% through the applying stage and 75% done with the whole thing but boots me back to the troubleshooting menu. If I restart the console I’m back to offline updating it but boots me out again. If I offline update it again it does the same thing. How do i fix this? Thinking about switching to play station at this point.

If you don't mind, please answer the following questions:

- Do you remember which error code/message you got before trying the offline update?

- Are you getting any error codes/messages when your console boots you back to the troubleshooting menu?

- Besides the USB flash drive required for the offline update, do you have any other external storage units plugged into your console?

- Besides the offline update, have you tried anything else to fix this? if you have, could you tell me exactly what you've tried so far?

Unfortunately, this specific error code calls for a factory reset, so that's probably why your console can't complete the offline update.

- From the troubleshooting menu, select Reset this Xbox > Remove everything.

Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and Xbox Live services, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

- If this reset doesn't work, you'll need to try an offline factory reset. It's the same as the offline update you tried before, but you'll need to use this file instead: https://www.xbox.com/xboxone/restorefactorydefa...

If you have an Xbox One S or One X and installing from disk you could use the machine in Offline mode. This may install
the disk content first and you will still need the online update but it wont be as time consuming as it is an update rather than install. I would suggest you consider doing this after the COD download finishes
