    XBOX ONE S won't connect to monitor via HDMI


    Can someone help my Xbox one s won't show ANYTHING on my monitor! 15 minutes ago the Xbox worked perfectly fine but after I was done on my computer (I have the computer also on my desk and also use the monitor on that) I put the HDMI cord back on the Xbox and
    it turned on but nothing showed on my monitor. I checked and both of my HDMI cords were put on fine and the monitor was on but it still showed nothing. I unplugged both HDMI cords and put a different HDMI cord on but nothing still happened I checked on the
    official help page but nothing on that worked. Can someone give any ideas on how to fix this?

    Just to make sure I understand the situation:

    1. Is that the Halo 3 Xbox 360 console you're talking about?
    2. Your Xbox 360 S console worked on your monitor via HDMI without issues?
    3. Where are you trying to connect your Halo 3 console to? The same monitor? A new monitor? A TV?
    4. Are you trying to connect the Halo 3 console via HDMI or Component?
    5. Where are you trying to connect your Xbox 360 S console to? The same monitor? A new monitor? A TV?
    6. Are you able to connect your Xbox 360 S console via HDMI again?

    It looks like if you're able to use both consoles via HDMI that would be your best option, since it looks like the HDMI worked for your Xbox 360 S console previously. Plus, that would allow you to not use the upscaler.

    At any rate, let us know and we'll work with you from there! ^_^

    4k Not Working on Seiki Pro SM28UTR

    The Xbox One S will run at 4K if the monitor does 4K@60Hz. When connected via HDMI, the HDMI port on the monitor must be at least version 2.0.

    According to the product sheet, you should be able to get 4K@60Hz if you connect the Xbox to the HDMI 2.0 port on the monitor.

    The other two HDMI ports, "HDMI 1.4" and "HDMI 1.4(MHL)" will not support 4K@60Hz, and the Xbox will likely default to 1080p.

    This may or may not be related but I just purchased an Xbox One and connected it via HDMI to the same television that I also use as my computer monitor (also connected via HDMI). The external speakers that are connected via coaxial S/PDIF to the television
    will play the audio from my computer but not from the Xbox One. Currently I'm having to switch the audio on my television to the built-in speakers instead of the external whenever I'm on the Xbox One source.

    Hi,

    You can't. You can connect Xbox 360's to monitors that have HDMI inputs, but you can't connect them to the PC directly as PC HDMI connectors are outputs only. The same is true for Laptop HDMI inputs.

    If you have a PC monitor you're in luck. Otherwise it's going to be TV only.

    If your PC is one of those all-in-one PCs with the computer located inside of the monitor case then this won't be possible either.
