    I received an xbox one s from a friend that was moving that doesnt have a disc drive in it. Is there any way to use it without the disc drive. If not. Why. What if someones disc drive breaks but they dont use disc. Why is their console just completely
    crippled ? Its not letting me post anymore...

    That would definitely be the problem then. Consoles are not meant to be open and parts removed and/or swapped unless it's sent in for repair by Microsoft.

    Since that console originally had a disc drive, it is coded to work for that. They can't just switch it to an all digital console because that's not how it was made. As already stated, consoles are not meant to be taken apart and changed unless it is sent
    in to Microsoft for a repair. By dping so, your friend actually violated the terms of service which puts the console at risk for being banned.

    Yes. When i looked it up it said the disk drive threw an error and i should restart the xbox or contact support

    I mean its not the all digital it literaly has the physical disc drive taken out of it. I can see all the way through the front.
