    Xbox One S with Seiki 42" 4K (SE42UM)

I just bought the Xbox One S to use with my Seiki 42" 4K TV. This TV has 3 HDMI ports, 2 are HDMI 1.4 and the Third is HDMI 2.0. It says that through the HDMI 2.0 port it will support 4K @ 60 Hz. I have the Xbox plugged into the HDMI 2.0 port, using the
included HDMI cable. When the dashboard comes up it is being displayed in 4K, and looks great. However Netflix does not have the UHD option. Yes I have upgraded my Netflix account to include UHD streaming.

Also YouTube does not play any 4K videos. I just bought Batman Vs. Superman 4K BluRay and every time I try and play the disk it switches down to 1080p 24Hz. I know my that my TV doesn't support HDR, but I thought that I would at least get to watch videos
    in 4K.

    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,

    -Steve

    :)

    Thanks for posting, Guiermo!

To begin, please be sure to follow each of the steps on our
Troubleshoot 4K & HDR on Xbox One S page
for all of the appropriate steps to follow. There are a good number of steps to look at, but please be sure to exhaust everything on that page. This will help you ensure everything is set up right on both your Xbox
    One S and your TV.

Additionally, if you navigate to Advanced video settings and select 4K TV Details (steps to get there are in the article linked above), are all appropriate 4K related items showing up with a green or red check box?

    Let us know! Xbox One S with Seiki 42" 4K (SE42UM) :)

    Xbox One and 4K output

Have my Xbox One and I am looking at getting a 50 inch 4K Seiki. Can someone with an Xbox One and a 4K TV tell me how well it works with the X1?

Need help buying a new TV for my xbox one.

Doing a quick search, I think this was the 4K TV I was talking about:
    Seiki SE39UY04 (4K UHD)
, which is apparently now valued at only $700 and is available for $500.

Occasional blank screen while playing on xbox one s

Another update. I did some more experimenting and it turns out that the Seiki cable I mentioned actually DOES work perfectly for alleviating the 4K problem we're having. The cable does not try to upscale a 4K 60hz signal, it only does so on sub-4K material,
so if you run the xbox one s at 4K through the cable, it should come through just as it would if the xbox one s didn't have the design flaw. I tested this on my PC running at 4k 60hz and the Seiki cable does not interfere with the image at all (which would
be easy to see in how fonts are rendered, etc. on a pc).

The cable is possibly low quality - I have to unplug and replug it in up to 3 or 4 times to get a good connection with no visual noise or artifacts, but once it acheives a good connection, it stays connected without problems indefinitely (I tested it for
a few hours) running at 4K.

Microsoft, please relay this to your engineers....for whatever reason this cable:

    www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_1
corrects whatever problem people are experiencing with the 4K signal not working on their 4K TVs. I'm not sure if it's the additional power coming in via USB or if the device itself corrects some other flaw with the signal
coming from the Xbox One S, but this might help isolate what on earth is going on.

Will Xbox one support PC resolutions like 1280x768? answer

Current TVs set at 4K resolution will not work for gaming on the ONE or PS4 because HDMI currently only supports 4K @ 30hz (30FPS).. Later this year I believe HDMI 2.0 standard comes out and will support 4K up to 60FPS.

    And,

4K TVs are worth it if the TV is going to be used as a computer monitor. I think SeikI is releasing a 39" 4K for $699 MSRP within the next couple month. They have have 50" out. Amazon has it for sale for $966. Seiki SE50UY04
