Xbox one s with Samsung UHD HDR 40KU6470

Can somebody please help I'm on my second Samsung 40KU6470 TVs as I returned my 1st one as I thought was faulty, but turns out replacement tv is the same, the issue im having is when TV has been unplugged and next time I use it with Xbox one s I have flashing
lines of colour on screen which will flash up all over for a bit but will then be fine and will have no issue this happens in all 3 hdmi ports and with or without uhd color (HDR) on,doesn't tend to happen when tv is put in standby mode, and after this initial
issue I'm able to play games as normal etc.

    :)

"Names for HDR10 HDR Premium, High Dynamic Range, HDR, UHD Color, Ultra HD Premium, Ultra HD deep color "

UHD Color is the Samsung equivalent of HDR10 and supported by the 40" Samsung TV model in the other thread. Look it up in the manual. The other guy mentioned also that he eventually got an LG, so there's another HDR supported 40" panel for your needs.

Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

I have the same issue, I have a Vizio P75C1 and the picture is dull and lifeless when hdr is on and hdr content is being played. Is this a hardware issue or just a firmware update is needed from the xbox one?

Does anyone have an xbox one s and a samsung UHD player? with hdr turn on with both? is the xbox one s the only one with hdr10 dullness issues?

Ive tried every setting there is and nothing improves the dull color when hdr10 is active. With hdr10 off the picture looks incredible.

    4k issues

    Hello Spinhead82,

Things are still in a state of change in the land of 4K UHD and haven't quite settled out yet. Part of this may have to do with DRM (Digital Rights Management) and trying to lock things down when it comes to all this 4K digital plumbing. Not only is it the
hardware, like needing to use HDMI 2.X cable. But, it's also the software. Does the firmware in the monitor/TV support the 4K UHD (HDCP 2.2)
content coming from the attached device ("Checking your TV's 4K and HDR capabilities on Xbox One S")? Yes, the Samsung U28E590D
can do 4K UHD, but does it support HDR10? HDR10 support seems to be a very important threshold when comes to connecting the Xbox One S to 4K UHD TVs. The current crop of 4K UHD monitors seems to be more directed to PC gamers. While, the Xbox One S is geared
more toward lager format TVs. I'm sure that this is not the only list, but Windows Central has what it calls "Best 4K HDR TVs For Xbox One S".

    Good luck and good gaming,

    SA

Hdr washed out colors and dimmer during hdr content

Same here with a Samsung KS7000, connected with the XBOX ONE S original HDMI cable and with all the correct settings enabled (HDMI UHD Color, XBOX settings, etc.). All the HDR content like 4K HDR blu-rays or games like NBA 2K17 look like the colors are
washed out. Everything seems dimmed, like having a white filter.

I bought XBOX ONE S to be used as a game console but also as a blu-ray player to complement my 4K HDR TV. Please Microsoft address this issue and solve it ASAP.

    Thanks!!
