Xbox one S with Hd Ready Tv

While the Xbox One S is 4k capable, it's "backwards compatible" to FullHD or HD ready TVs that don't have 4k.

Your Xbox One S will work perfectly fine on your current TV, if the Xbox One worked on it.

Try to use the HDMI cable that came with the console. Make sure all cables are connected securely into the correct ports. Check that your TV is on the correct source (HDMI) for signal. Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the “out to TV” port on the
console.

Also If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, check that your TV is connected to the correct one. Alot of TVs now have 3 HDMI connections, so make sure your TV is on the correct one your console is connected to. - Depending on your setup and TV settings, it might
be “HDMI 1”or “HDMI 2” or similar.

Try to use HD TV instead of HD ready TV, HD ready TV can't support the split screen multiplayer.

Ok if you have a HD or HD Ready tv it will play up to about 80hz HD Ready or 100hz for a HD.

If you have a dreamcast or ever owned one you would see the difference (i owned 2 tv's one 50hz one 60hz)

on a 50hz tv at 60hz games will look grainy black and white with the image jumping, or you will just get a grey screen but as said before if you have a HD or HD Ready tv your tv plays 60+ hz so you have nothing to worry about, if your tv really was 50Hz
it wouldnt have a HDMI slot

if you have the hdmi plugged in correctly, it's very possible that this isn't a compatible HD TV. It's only HD ready and 720p

It won't even support 1080p

For it to work with and Xbox one it had to have at least full HD at 720p so that may be the issue. I went on vacation and discovered this on an HD tv and had to buy a tv
