Xbox One S with Component Cables, Soundproblem

    Hi there,

I gifted my girlfriend an Xbox One S.

Now her TV has no possible HDMI connection.

So i bought a converter to component and cables.

Everything went fine, we started the Xbox, updated it, and all that.

Then she wanted to play Injustice 2.

In the Xbox menu we had sound....but when the game started the sound failed.

Now i am confused. And i hope you guys can help us.

I tried every option in sound and video but nothing helped.

    Please rescue us^^

    :)

Trouble Connecting to a HD PVR

    Composite is for SD video.

You need to hook up the 360 to the Component input (red/green/blue). The 360 S does not come with a Component cable, just a composite cable. If you don't have the Component cable, you'll need to buy one.

Questions about Xbox 360 E Video Output

Since the E model does not support Component video or VGA video out of the video port (i.e. no cables made for it like the original and S models), you would need to get a HDMI converter. I use one that is HDMI to VGA on my Xbox One to my projector. If your
TV does not have HDMI, then it would need component or VGA inputs in order to receive a HD signal. If you TV does not have those inputs, then you will need to upgrade your TV.

Also I should point out that the included video RCA cable included with the console is a composite cable, not component. Component cables are analog HD cables with the signal split into red, green and blue with each lead colored appropriately. What you
referred to as component is in fact a composite cable.

    XBOX 360 Connessione TV

As the early Xbox 360's had no HDMI you'll need either a TV with a component input or an adaptor to convert HD component to HDMI.

Firstly if you want HD you'll need an Xbox 360 HD Component cable. They look like the image below.

Next you'll need a Component to HDMI Adaptor. Similar to
    this one
. Note that the cable must be Component to HDMI. These cables only work one way.

You plug the Xbox 360 component cable into the console and then plug the Component cables (Red, Green, Blue) and the two audio leads into the adaptor. Then connect an HDMI cable to the adaptor and the TV. The yellow cable is only for standard definition
    and will not be required.

Just remember to change the video output on the console to 1080P and you're done.

    component cables for xbox one

    Hey there, hellofello105!

I'm sorry to see any issues with an accessory part! Depending on what type of component cable you purchased, it may not work. The best option you may have is to purchase an HDMI to component cable so that you can plug the HDMI side into the Xbox One and
the component side into the TV. You could purchase a converter or adapter, but that may cause issues with how many connections the Xbox One will have to go through to deliver the picture; several apps won't allow more than 2 connections, and may see the adapter
    as a recording device.

If you could, post back with pictures of what you have. I'm happy to help where I can, but will need some visuals to dig into it further. :) I look forward to working with you!
