Xbox One S Wireless Controller Randomly Disconnects

I've been using this controller for a long time and originally thought the controller was dying on me. I do not think that is the case. Here's everything I've tried:

Restart controller

Restart Xbox

Re-Pair controller

Replace controller batteries

Update Xbox

Update Firmware on controller

Reset Xbox

Replace controller

From everything I've found online, I followed all steps to fix this issue. I believe the issue lies with my Xbox One S since the same thing happens when a different controller. Is there any sort of fix for this?

Same problem here.. Xb1 S controller randomly disconnects, original xbox one controller has no issues with xb1 S console...

A big tip would be to install it offline and install updates later, online. (shown on that page, how)

Thanks Rostom. I'm sure that's the problem. I wasn't having any issues before the update.

Just to confirm, you have already performed a factory reset, correct?

Make sure as well that there are no other wireless signals near you that could cause a wireless interference between your console and the controller. Try disconnecting any other accessories or external devices that are plugged in to your console or controller to further isolate the issue.

If you've tried all of those, possible that it's currently being affected by the known issues listed for December 2022 update.

As you can see on the link below from the latest update, there's a known issue for controllers randomly losing sync and disconnecting from the console.

I recommend to report the issue via Report a problem app so they can further investigate the issue. Check the guide here https://support.xbox.com/help/account-profile/m...

Alternatively, you could use a USB cable to connect your controller to the console to play uninterrupted.
