    Was working fine until few days ago. Have replaced the hdmi to hdmi cable, used hairdryer to clean out any dust in console, checked power cable, tried to reset by holding main button and disc eject buttons down at same time. No joy. Read advice saying
    go into settings and change various things but screen blank so how do i go into settings? Have tried to change from hdmi 2 to 3 on tv but nothing. Help! My 13 year old is going crazy! Thanks.

    Did you make sure that the TV is connected to the correct HDMI port on the back of the console, there is two ports on the back of the Xbox One console one for HDMI in from cable / satellite TV box, and one that outputs the signal to the TV.

    Thanks for replying. I had found this info already and tried 1 and 2. It us 3 that i get stuck on when it says turn console on and go into power settings on the screen. Screen is blank so cant and console has turned itself off.

    Sound like overheating issue. Try to put your console in another safe place if still Nothing > repair

    If you tried all that I'm afraid it is a power brick hardware failure or processor (bad thermal paste) is overheating or the ventilator. Is the box warm? Any noise?
    This sounds terninal! Is it? Do you think it is worth trying to get it repaired. It is about 5 years old. Should i be considering getting a new one. If so, what does anyone think aboutbthe digital one?
