Xbox one S. Will not update.

Discus and support Xbox one S. Will not update. in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; i just purchased an xbox one S today and it will not download the update it apparently needs for me to use it.     Xbox one S. Will not update.


    i just purchased an xbox one S today and it will not download the update it apparently needs for me to use it. Cannot even set up profiles or anything. Took it back to retailer and got another one. Same issue with exact same error message which is not even
    listed on the that error message checking function on the xbox website. Have tried downloading the OSU1 file from 3 other devices from 2 different locations - so thats 2 completely different ISP's and it will not download so cannot manually update it offline.

    The error message is 8923000a

    Any suggestions?

    Hi,

    What game or games does this message pop for? Many Xbox One games have updates specifically for the Xbox X. If your Xbox One game has a 4K assets update for example, you'll be prompted to download this when using the drive on the Xbox One X console.

    The Xbox One S and original Xbox One don't support X-enhancements, so you won't be prompted for that update when using the drive on the One S.

    following link    , it explains how to update games for Xbox One X enhancements, while still using a Xbox One S or original Xbox One.

    it is bizarre that I have the exact same setup as you (Xbox One S and LG UH8500 - technically mine is the 65" - you might have a bigger or smaller set) but I have not have not received updates to either the Xbox One S or the LG recently...Both are on auto-update
    and I'm in the preview program. You might be in a quicker preview ring....
