Xbox one S will not play any games even after a full reset

I did this last resort full reset. I was unable to download any of the games I own after this full reset. I assume that this means my Xbox series s’s hard drive is faulty. Am I right with this assumption?

I already have done a full reset of my Xbox one S, even deleted all data and it didn't work.

I got the same issue. It started recently.

After some time in any game the whole Xbox one S slows down: main menu opening, game(s) freezing.

I have tried everything: clear cache, MAC, moved games to external HDD, full factory reset. Nothing helps.

The possible reason is it may get problem with internal HDD, but problem is not appearing immediatly after boot but after some time. Another reason might be heating (fan failure?). But there is no way to do any diagnosis and there is no error messages.

Any ideas/help?

I bought it close to 2 years ago or so. It's an Xbox One S.

I've deleted local save files, and also perfomed a hard reset of the console (tried both options- keeping apps and games, and wiping everything). I'm close to full capacity after doing this.

Also in regards to the answers above with online gaming- I'm playing single player games

Thanks for bringing this issue to the forums attention. I understand that your Xbox One S is powering itself down whenever you're trying to play Halo games in split screen mode is that correct? I recommend you do a Full power cycle to start off. (safely
power down console. Unplug consoles power cord from any power source and wait 5 minutes). If the issue persists I would suggest trying the steps listed here:

How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One. You can try doing a soft factory reset first (keep my games & apps) and move on to a Full factory reset if it still doesn't work. (keep in mind you will need your Microsoft Account Email and Passwords
to recover any accounts after the resets).
