Xbox One S will not hard reset even with USB

Discus and support Xbox One S will not hard reset even with USB in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I feel like I have tried everything and nothing works, so i'm assuming its time to get a new one!     Xbox One S will not hard reset even with USB


    I feel like I have tried everything and nothing works, so i'm assuming its time to get a new one!

    I can never find info for the One S specifically!

    These are the issues:

    • I've been having to hard reset frequently to even get it to turn on
    • It constantly kicks and reconnects my external hard drive
    • This last time I was using it and clicked restart since a game wasn't working and it just went blank with the light still on the console but nothing on the screen.
    • Everytime I turn it on, it powers up the light turns on and the fans are running but nothing coming out.
    • If I just push the button to turn it off it takes a very long time or wont turn off at all
    • I tried new HDMI
    • I tried doing the hard reset
    • I tried letting the battery drain
    • Everything is unplugged from the back and I tried the USB fix and that also did not work!

    Not sure where to go from here or if its just a lost cause to keep trying!

    Are you part of the Xbox Insider Preview program? Because using OSU on USB doesn't work for preview program builds.

    A few things to check....

    Firstly ensure the ventilation holes are not blocked with dust and clean them.

    Secondly, plug the console into a separate wall socket not a power board with other devices connected.

    Lastly, if you use a wired network connection you must disconnect the ethernet cable prior to attempting a offline system update (OSU).

    Yeah sorry, I mean I tried to reset your console to factory defaults on it with the USB drive with no luck!

    I believe I do not have a warranty on it either sadly
