xbox one S - will it have hybrid drive like the elite?

As the title states, I see nowhere where it lists if the new xbox one s hdd will be a hybrid drive like the xbox one elite, or just s standard 2tb (or whatever size you choose) HDD.

Has anyone read anything about this? I can't seem to find any info on it.

the hard drive is a

WD Blue SSHD 1TB 2.5' SATA 6 Gb/s 5400 rpm 8 GB NAND (WD10J31X-00U3VT0)

im wondering if its cause its a solid state hybrid, i suppose i can swap externals, the other one is not a hybrid. but i could have sworn i read that the xbox supports hybrid drives

i dont have another xbox i can try it in :/

 

Xbox One S - a few steps forward but many backward (vs Xbox Elite)

One mans "step forward" is another s "step back", as I would rather have a power brick; I had two 360's that would have had to go in for repairs if it wasn't for the ability to plug-n-play a power source.

Not really a fan of the hybrid drives either.

On a related note, is the hybrid drive a significant improvement in load times for games (e.g. a game takes 10 seconds to load up vs. 30 etc.) or not as significant?

 

Hybrid drives learn what is used the most often and put some of that on to the solid state sectiion.

Given that the solid sate part is often quite small, all you are going to be getting on it are the initial start files of the things you use the most often.

So if you flit between games, you won't see much of a difference at all. If you play one game a lot, you'll see a really quick startup but little to no difference while playing.

 

you can also get an external SSD drive and store your games on that and just buy the 500GB S
