Xbox One S WiFi Networking Connectivity Issues

I got the Xbox One S 1TB model when they first announced it and said it was "limited edition" XD

LE up until they rereleased it in four different package bundles. So yeah anyway, since my first month it's been doing exactly what everyone here has said.

Destiny, Overwatch, The Division, COD Remastered. Logging in issues, sometimes no WiFi networks show up prompting me to do a full shutdown. Old Xbox One sits right next to this one, higher download/upload speeds, no rubber banding. Etc. To see I'm not alone
if reassuring. I thought I was just getting crappy servers etc. BUT seeing how microsoft doesn't have a fix, nor does this prompt Warranty... I'm stuck probably getting rid of my Xbox One S. I hear GS has trade in credit, a whopping $150 bucks for the One
S... something I paid $500 for barely a year ago with defects...

 

Had the same issue above but now its solved. I contacted Microsoft support and they helped me out in 5 mins - the issue is related to connecting the xbox one s to a power strip or regulator, I connected directly to the wall outlet (the power brick is inside
the xbox and will protect it for power surges) - now it works wonders and connects automatically to wifi when waking up from instant on mode. Hope this helps

 

Guys just do what I did and boycott the brand. Microsoft and Xbox have given no sympathy or care for their customers. Every Xbox I have ever bought has had some sort of issue that never gets fixed. NEVER have I had any issues with PlayStation this will be
the last time I will buy an Xbox. Would love to play some of the games on it but if it can't even connect to the internet the thing is useless.

 

First of sir....don't use the word "NEVER" playstation has had many problems... so maybe you might want to clarify "issues" for example with customer service? or maybe your console in particular? as for Microsoft as a company or the Xbox branch in particular...
Microsoft....you're currently on a Microsoft product are you not with "windows 10" ...and you cant blame a company for a branch of itself...blame Phil who oversees the xbox branch... but even then I've had multiple xbox issues that have been solved ...this
being the first that hasn't been. so maybe its your wording ..or attitude towards customer service that warrants your lack of aid

 

I have the same issue while playing Destiny and now with Destiny 2. Tons of fun you are in a raid and you just drop off the internet map and nothing works on the Xbox. I have to restart the console to be able to reconnect to the party and game. I thought
for a long time it was Destiny taking a s^&t but after reading this thread, it is all hardware in the Xbox One s and a massive issue that has no solution.

 

Same issue here with a brand new S and the latest preview update. Connection drops about once an hour and comes right back. Drops me out of Destiny 2 and by the time I am back to the start screen, I can sign back in.

 

My XBOS is having the same problem. This is really annoying.

I'm 1 foot from my WAP, even hard-wired in half the time in hopes that it gets resolved. Neither of my brothers who have XBOX One's experience this issue.

Never had this problem with my PS3.

 

I also have this issues i really do wish that they fix it really. I just brought the xbox one s about 4 months ago and it been acting like this for 2 weeks now and i don't know what to do with it. Eveything is find but it just randomlly kicks me off the
intrenet. HELP EVERYONE HERE REALLY!!!!!

 

You are not alone. I just got one for Christmas and along with the terrible Wifi performance, it has been freezing on every game at some point during game play. This is a brand new machine.

 

I have been having connection problems ever since I got the Xbox s and I'm just done with it I only buy Xbox console for some games and because it's easy to talk to people but I can now do that with my much more power PC. I truly thnk this Xbox s is broken
in some way and they just don't know how to fix it and I refuse to spend $500 on an Xbox X to fix a problem this console shouldn't have. Also and this is my opinion but I don't think u should have to factory reset ur console to get it to work and what do they
expect u to keep doing that everyday it starts acting up it's unexpectable

 

I got the XBox One X at the beginning of December and all appeared well. A couple of days ago we have a power outage which caused the router to disconnect from the internet. Since this I have had issues connecting with connection to the router dropping.

Last night I was playing Destiny 2 when the connection to my router dropped out yet again. This time I was unable to reconnect to my router; the SSID came up but the XBox would not connect at all. To attempt to resolve this I power cycled the XBox, cleared
the secondary MAC address as well as rebooted my router. Despite this the XBox still won't connect to the router, even though other devices connect without an issue.

I will attempt the factory reset but not sure if this will help.

Any other advice would be appreciated.

I picked up a one s on black Friday. Same issues as stated by everyone else. I am going to try to set mine to energy mode and do a power cycle tonight. This is my secondary Xbox and sadly, where it is located if I hardwire it in I get a double NAT error
due to having my own WAP wired into my Comcast gateway. If I set my Comcast gateway to bridge mode, then I lose the ability to hardwire my primary Xbox. Basicaly they just need to fix this issue. Are there any active Xbox admins around reading this?

 

Exact same concerns for me from a brand new machine bought of Black Friday this year. Same concerns as those voiced from 2 years ago from my Xbox One S. I had a day one Xbox One and it recently broke from unrelated concerns and bought it as it was fairly
cheap on black friday. Literally since the first time I used my new xbox, in the same location as my old one, it had terrible connectivity issues. And has never stopped. In my residence is home to around 6 other consoles, 1 original Xbox, my Xbox One S, and
4 PS4's, with all connections running perfectly, except of course mine.

This is absurd that problems stemming years ago that Microsoft has no definitive solution or workaround and seemingly no effort to fix, to go along as well. Even a simple "We are trying our very best to solve these problems.", would be at least a little
comforting. I tried energy saving mode and power recycling countless times with little to no result. As fluid connection is imperative in any multiplayer game, and majority of massive titles are, it makes any game but single player games obsolete and cannot
enjoy playing with friends as is a normally huge component for gamers (and, personally, I have bought many with these intentions). It's just extremely discouraging that something as large as this is seemingly going unnoticed and unanswered, and to see Microsoft
neglect their loyal customers with virtually no response. I'm quite sure this will go unnoticed as well and I'll have wasted countless dollars on a new console and games that are now unable to play.

And if there's seemingly no solution, as I'm uneducated in this technology and all the computer science with it, I understand that problems arise, but at lease have the integrity to admit to it and provide compensation for your customers.

I have been having the same connectivity issues on my xBox One, but only since the latest OS update. My brother who has a xBox One S hasn't had any connectivity issues, while I have had it lagg constantly. It makes me wonder if now they're trying what
apple did and slowing down old devices
