Xbox One S Wi-Fi connection Issues

Just exchanged my new Xbox One S for another one due to problems connecting to Wi-Fi. The last two weeks, everytime I turned on the system it was automatically disconnected from the internet. When I went to settings to connect again, no wi-fi signal would
show even when I pressed "Y" to refresh. It was like there was no Wi-Fi card(part) in the system I have to restart the system or hold down the power for 10 seconds. Once the system restarts, Wi-Fi is automatically connected. But if the xbox is off for a period
of time like 4 hours, the same issue happens. This might be to bad firmware release. Because this is the second console that does that. Less than a month ago it wasn't having any issues. Last two weeks, that changed. Anyone else having this issue? Have a good
    weekend!!!!

    :)

Xbox Live and hotel Wi-Fi via Ethernet?

I need to find a way to connect my Xbox 360 to the Wi-Fi at hotels, considering I go to one almost every month. I have a game review due by thursday and I need to get this internet working. The issue is, hotels usually take you to a website where you have to log in on a website to connect to the Wi-Fi. This makes the Xbox Live connection impossible if you're doing it through Wi-Fi....

But what if I logged into the Wi-Fi on my laptop and connected my Xbox 360 to the laptop via Ethernet Cable. I have Windows 7 so I'm guessing there's some Microsoft internet sharing option that's compatible with other Microsoft products.... right?

Microsoft teaming with Comcast on Wi-Fi issue

Anybody having Wi-Fi issues with Comcast while playing Xbox One will be glad to know Comcast is working on it. Microsoft is working with them to get ahold on what's causing the issue.

Microsot and Comcast working on Wi-Fi issue

Anybody here subscribed on Comcast? And has the issue already resolved?

Xbox One S Wi-Fi connection Issues

It seems there are some users that are having issues with the Xbox one S wireless connection related to the instant on function.

Maybe one work around for now is that you turn off the instant on function and try using the power save turn on option. It will take longer to boot each time but your wifi hopefully should work each time.

Hope this helps. Sorry it's only a temporary solution.

Thank you for replying, issue is still persisting with me and other users even when we switch to energy saver. It's definitely a firmware problem.

Count me as another one having issues with the WiFi. I bought a brand new one s last Saturday and immediately started having issues with the console dropping the connection. After talking with tech support, they suggested I exchange the console. I did
that and am having the exact same problems. Very frustrating

  7. Have you reset your router? Also check to to see if the router detects your XBox IP when it is connected and disconnected to see if it is broadcasting.

Is everything else on the wifi working fine? I would also contact ISP to see if they have any suggestions.

Also try setting your xbox IP to static on the router to see if that helps.

    Cheers

Xbox series s disconnects and won't reconnect to wifi saying password doesn't match when it does

Hello Stoop14mc , My name is Khaji I am an independent advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing Wi-Fi connection issues with your Xbox Series S. Here are some steps you can take to try to fix this issue:

Check your Wi-Fi password: Make sure you're entering the correct password when trying to connect your Xbox Series S to your Wi-Fi network. You can check the password on your router or ask your Internet provider to provide you with the correct password if you have forgotten it.
Restart your router: Turn off your Wi-Fi router and disconnect it from the power source for a few minutes. Then turn it back on and wait for it to reboot completely. Once the router is online again, try connecting your Xbox Series S to the Wi-Fi network.
Forget Wi-Fi on Xbox: Go to the network settings on your Xbox Series S and look for the option to forget the Wi-Fi network you're trying to connect to. Then try to connect again by entering the correct password. This can help resolve incorrect authentication issues.
Check Wi-Fi signal strength: Make sure the Xbox Series S is close enough to the router to receive a strong, stable Wi-Fi signal. If you are far from the router, the signal may be weak and cause connection problems. Try moving the Xbox Series S closer to the router and see if that fixes the issue.
Update your router's firmware: Check if firmware updates are available for your Wi-Fi router and, if necessary, update it to the latest version. Firmware updates often fix compatibility issues and improve connection stability.
Reset Xbox Series S network settings: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you can try resetting the network settings on your Xbox Series S. Go to the console's network settings and look for the option to reset settings network. Please note that this will erase any custom network settings and you will need to reconfigure your Wi-Fi connection from scratch.

    MacBook problem

Is your 360 connecting to the Internet via Wi-Fi or via an ethernet cable? If connecting via Wi-Fi, the MacBooks may be interfering with the 360's wireless signal. That would cause you to disconnect from Xbox Live.

    Can't connect to DHCP server!

I tried everything as you suggested, but the issue persists. The Xbox One will connect to my mobile hotspot, but not to my Wi-Fi suddenly. My phone, Fire Stick, Xbox 360, and Switch can connect just fine to Wi-Fi.
