Xbox One S - Weird Colors

My xbox used to work just fine on my TV and never had any issues with it then all of the sudden it looks like this… I hooked it up to a different TV and it worked fine so there’s not anything wrong with my XBOX and my TV works just fine on other applications. I’m thinking it’s a settings between the two and I’ve played around with advanced video modes cause this tv said HDR but enabling that in the settings didn’t do anything either (yes I did restart my Xbox). I also tried the allow YCC setting and didn’t do anything I’m not sure what I’m missing??? Any clarity would be so appreciated!

Thanks for reporting this issue in Microsoft Answers.

I understand that you are having trouble with abnormal colors when connecting your Xbox One S to your TV, and I understand your confusion.

You can try the following steps to resolve the color issue:

Turn off the YCC 4:2:2 option in the video settings, as this might resolve the color problem.
Set the color depth to 24 bits (default). Higher settings might cause color issues. Go to Xbox settings > General > TV & display options > Video fidelity & overscan.
Ensure your TV supports HDR and that HDR is correctly enabled/disabled in both the TV and Xbox settings.
Try using a different HDMI cable, as low-quality or damaged HDMI cables can cause color issues.
Make sure your TV and Xbox firmware are both up to date.

See I’ve tested it on my old Emseron 720p TV, and no flickering happened. It seems to only happen when its on my newer Samsung TV with UHD Color (HDR10) enabled on the tv itself. Otherwise 4K UHD works fine??? My tv acts very weird with the Xbox One S

I wish they allowed us to have weird hair colors and not just natural ones.

I have the same issue that Prezdead mentions above. My LG has UHD deep color, and I get 4K resolution but it still doesn't work with HDR. I find it funny when it's listed here on xbox.com that one of the many names for HDR is UHD Deep Color. It's also weird,
because if what I had plugged into the hdmi port on my tv didn't support deep color, it would give me a message. I don't get a message, but it won't allow HDR. So it's like it works with the Xbox One S... but it doesn't. A little frustrating to say the least.

I'd go with the EON skin because of its white and black color scheme. Its reminiscent of an Xbox One S, or at least my Xbox One S model with the white color scheme. I think it'd make it sort of ironic, you could say the skin looks like an Xbox per say.
