  1. Xbox One S - Vizio 'no signal' image on boot up - 4k @60hz

I have a Vizio M60 C-3 which I have connected directly to the xbox one s (no receiver) via the HDMI cable that came with the xbox one s. I am plugged directly into the single 4k @60hz port on the TV (rather than the various @30hz). I have the audio connected
directly to a receiver via optical.

When I turn the TV on initially, it shows 'no signal' and sometimes no sound. I need to cycle the inputs on the TV to another input and then back to the right one for the image to show. If there is no sound, I need to turn my receiver on and off again to
    get audio.

Any thoughts on this? I'm at a loss.

    Thanks.

    :)

Xbox one X no signal on boot

Project Scorpio limited edition running into hdmi port 5 on a Vizio m60 c3 4k television . System boots up and turns on television . The info bar appears at the top of the tv and flickers the 2160p on and off. Then shows no signal. When I switch inputs
via the remote and cycle though all back to hdmi 5 then the Xbox one X signal shows and works. Is this common problem or a settings issue somewhere ?

Xbox One S 4K output causing black flashing with Vizio PQ65-F1

When I enable the 4K video output on Xbox One S it causes intermittent black screen flashing on my new Vizio PQ65-F1

Set-up: Tivo Roamio>Xbox One S>Yamaha RX-A660BL>Vizio PQ65-F1 on HDMI 1 input on TV. All HDMI cables are high speed 18GBps.

When I enable the 4K display video output setting on the Xbox One S the problem happens when watching TV or playing games.

When I change it to 1080p the problem is resolved. Allow 4K setting is turned on and YCC 4:2:2: is turned off in advanced settings.

Using a Roku through the receiver with 4K to the TV works fine no issues, the problem is only with Xbox One. on 4K video output.

Is there any way I can play Xbox One S with 4K video output for TV watching and gaming on the Vizio PQ65-F1 without these HDMI handshaking issues?

    Thanks.

  4. Xbox One S - Vizio 'no signal' image on boot up - 4k @60hz

Let's at least test if the console is able to at least output any video (even 1080p). Does it show up on the screen when plugged into the other HDMI ports?

You say you hear sound sometimes. Have you also made sure you plugged the HDMI cable into the HDMI-out port (and not the HDMI-in) of the Xbox?

    4K UHD Resolution

My TV, Vizio V655-G9, says in the manual it supports 4K UHD @ 60hz. However, my Xbox One S says my TV does not support 4K @ 60hz. So I can select 4K resolution in settings.

Everything is updated and I have tried many different ports and many different HDMI cables. Advanced settings is on Auto-Detect.
Hey so i ran into this issues with my older vizio as well. So you need to go into your tv settings or use the vizio smart cast app on your phone you can download it if you down have it and connect your tv to your phone but you need to go to your input settings
and select the hdmi port your xbox is connected to and turn on full UHD Color this allows the 4k image go back to your xbox tv and display options and check tv details if there not showing up sometimes restarting the xbox is necessary

    4k video support

I believe Hydro was only stating that the apps and games, as of know have a limit of 1080p. Meaning that the Xbox One itself will not generate, via an App, nor pass through a 4k signal. Hopefully this will change soon, hence voting at feedback.xbox.com
. Having stated that any signal your TV receives it should scale it to the native screen resolution of your TV. So if the Xbox sends a 1080p signal to your TV, the TV will upconvert it to the the native 4k resolution. Now granted it is not a true 4k signal
as it only has the 1080p signal at its base. I have a Vizio 4k TV and this is true for my Xbox and Bluray player, they only transmit a 1080p signal but the TV will upscale it to the Vizio's panel resolution of 4k.

Hope this helps and I didn't confuse the issue further.

Occasional blank screen while playing on xbox one s

Another update. I did some more experimenting and it turns out that the Seiki cable I mentioned actually DOES work perfectly for alleviating the 4K problem we're having. The cable does not try to upscale a 4K 60hz signal, it only does so on sub-4K material,
so if you run the xbox one s at 4K through the cable, it should come through just as it would if the xbox one s didn't have the design flaw. I tested this on my PC running at 4k 60hz and the Seiki cable does not interfere with the image at all (which would
be easy to see in how fonts are rendered, etc. on a pc).

The cable is possibly low quality - I have to unplug and replug it in up to 3 or 4 times to get a good connection with no visual noise or artifacts, but once it acheives a good connection, it stays connected without problems indefinitely (I tested it for
a few hours) running at 4K.

Microsoft, please relay this to your engineers....for whatever reason this cable:

    www.amazon.com/.../ref=sr_1_1
corrects whatever problem people are experiencing with the 4K signal not working on their 4K TVs. I'm not sure if it's the additional power coming in via USB or if the device itself corrects some other flaw with the signal
coming from the Xbox One S, but this might help isolate what on earth is going on.
