Xbox One S video/graphic problems

bought a shiny new Xbox one s and switched over from my Xbox one last week and I have had some issues. All my games and apps where stored on an external hard drive which I unplugged from Xbox one and then plugged into Xbox one s. That seemed to work
fine with all my games and apps showing up but when I had to update the system I got an error 0x80004005 on my Xbox one s. Then I noticed that graphics such as friends gamer tags, achievement graphics didn't show up at all. Same problem in movie store with
movie photos not showing up. I then opened up Amazon video and got an DF0301 error. I then tried bbc iplayer , all4", now tv and none of these apps worked. The only video app that worked is Netflix which works fine in 4 k and you tube. When going into Amazon
video and iplayer the show graphics didn't show up. Spoke via Twitter with Xbox support and did power recycling, hard reset and this didn't make no difference. I also sent them my detailed network stats which they said looked good. Anyone got any ideas as
it's pretty frustrating . I did plus in my old Xbox one and it worked perfectly as before with apps, graphics etc working fine.

1440p on Xbox One S

Dear Community,

I bought me a LG Monitor, which supports graphic settings up to 3440 x 1440.

But my Xbox One S shows only the video-option of 1080p or 720p.

I thought there would be a way to play with 1440p on the Xbox One S?

Or is there no way to use 1440p? What can I do ?

Set up my Xbox One S to play AVI videos from PC Easily

I got the great Xbox One S, after set up my Xbox One S to play AVI videos from PC. While, I found out that their Xbox One S doesn't support AVI files. So I have do some reseach to solve this problem, here I will share my experience to let you play AVI on
Xbox One S without hassle.

From the video formats lists supported by Xbox One S are MKV, DivX and Xvid. It claimed that Xbox One S support AVI format although, the point I found here is, only a part of AVI, unfortunately, is supported due to different codes. For example, AVI in Divx/Xvid
can be played on Xbox while problems occur when playing AVI in other code like VP-6 and etc. So, I need change the video codec to Xbox supported formats by using a video converter. Though comparing a few online finally I choose Pavtube Video Converter and
haven't been disapointed. Things would be much easier and simpler by adopt Pavtube Video Converter - Which is the best video converter for Xbox One S to easily convert almost any AVI video to Xbox One S just in a few clicks. Apart from converting AVI to Xbox
One S, I can also convert almost any video, like RMVB, AVI, MOV, to videos supported by Xbox One S. The most I like It can convert video at 30X faster speed, and keep the original video quality.

Based on the steps you mentioned trying in your post, the next step will be to

Factory Restore your Xbox One console. When doing this, be sure to select 'Reset and keep my games & apps'.

I think it would be a problem with its GPU.... happens on PC`s when a video card is dying.. lots of graphics corruption and artifacts....

I took the console back to the store and got a new one. The problem with the graphics is the same on this one. I've been using the old 360 model since launch, and playing on the new S model I'm noticing a lot more aliasing, and the problem the video shows
of the graphics in Battlefield 3 is the same in many older games, something I've never noticed before. The first S console was glossy and manufactured in January 2011, and the new one is matte and manufactured in September 2011. Have I just been unlucky twice
with two consoles manufactured 8 months apart, or is the graphics chips in the S consoles inferior to the old 360's? I'm very disappointed with my purchase right now, I should have just gotten a bigger hard drive for my old 360.

It might help if you post a screenshot or video so we can see the problem. Have you tried setting the output to 720p (I know this sounds odd but it disables the Xbox ones upscaling software)

Also worth remembering that PowerStar Golf isn't a graphical tour de force by any means, they went with a very specific graphical style, think Pixar crossed with 50's americana.
