Xbox One S very annoying buzzing noise

Replaced my original Xbox One with a Xbox One S 1TB a few days ago. The fan is making a quite annoying buzzing sound. Like the bearing of the fan is very poor, or something is hitting the fan continuously. I sit fairly close to where the console is, so it
is often very audible while gaming, but especially when watching movies. I bought it specifically for the 4k Blu-ray player. So it, the Xbox One S, delivering a worse movie watching experience is very disappointing. My original Xbox One was of course not whisper
quiet - the fans whirred as normal - but there was no buzzing noise which resembled crickets living inside of the console.

Brought it back to the retailer, who swapped it for me, but the replacement had the same problem. That unit was even louder/worse then the first one. After that the retailer suddenly decided the problem was expected behaviour, while at first acknowledging
the issue by replacing it. They wouldn't replace it for me again. I then decided to keep the original since it was the "best" of the two.

Many have reported this problem online. Just google "Xbox One S fan noise" or run the same query on YouTube and you will see many results. Some consumers had to replace their units up to four times before they ended up with a proper unit. While
others seem to have gotten lucky with their first console being fine. Very poor quality assurance on the end of Microsoft. Buying a product should never feel like a lottery. The customer experience with your product should be uniform and consistent.

If anyone from Xbox support reads this, please reach out to me so we can sort this out. The retailer certainly won't help me. I am from The Netherlands.

Xbox one making weird noise

I purchased the Madden bundle and the first one I had made a buzzing noise too. It was VERY annoying and even made the noise when just sitting on the home page. I returned it and the second one is almost dead silent. Definitely return it if yours is making
a buzzing noise...

 

Power supply buzzing noise

My power supply has a very annoying buzzing noise when my Xbox One is set to instant on.

I believe there is a fan inside the power supply and that is where the buzzing is coming from. Why don't the fan turn off when the Xbox is turned off/in standby (in instant on mode).

This is very annoying and I am not able to use instant on mode.

Will this be fixed?
