Xbox One S Ventilation Problem and Customer Services

I actually have nowhere to complain, so I think I will share a post here just to feel a little better.

I pre-ordered the Xbox One S Fifa 17 Bundle in August and the console was delivered yesterday. Everything seemed fine until the machine shut itself down unexpectedly. I then found out there's
ventilation problem to the console and got online to seek help.

The first two customer service agents told me that I couldn't return it, and I could only send it to repair, and it would likely take me about
15-21 days to get a fixed/new one back. They also mentioned that I would "receive a 3-month extended warranty and 1 month of Gold membership." So I believed them and dropped my console at Fedex. I was very
disappointed at this point that I'd been waiting forever to get the console, then a brand new Xbox didn't work properly, then I would need to wait few more weeks to get it back.

Feeling that I was not compensated enough, I mean what benefit you can get with 3-month extended warranty and a month of Gold membership! I then contact online customer service again to talk about it. This agent told me that "the best way for me is to return
it and get a new one." In that way I would save sometimes. I was then surprised because the other two agents suggested me to fix the thing instead of returning it. One of them even told me that my return request would just turn to be repair request.

I was very mad and asked him to provide information to contact a supervisor or someone with more authority. He was nice and instructed me to call the Microsoft customer service again to ask for supervisor. I called the number and was directed
to an agent who gave me two numbers: (400-886-6140) and (852-307-14868) (Yes, the second number has 10 digit numbers, and she said she didn't know and maybe I could take the number 1 off). I tried to call those two numbers
later and they didn't work.

At this point, I think I just give up on trying to find help. I do not think I would ever get any help from Microsoft. The company does not give customers the choice to complain. So I think writing my story in this forum is the last option I have. The whole
experience just let me down and make me feel that the company just want to benefit from its customers, rather than to improve their experience.

I do not think anyone would care about my experience. In the end, it's not about the machine, it's all about the
time I wasted on a defective item to wait, to set up and to wait again.

I bought the same Fifa 17 Xbox One S 500gb bundle.

I had ventilation problems as well, twice it shutdown on me yesterday, it was baking hot around the fan and internal power supply area. Didn't bother contacting xbox support, i called the retailer(Tesco UK) and they told me to take it to nearest store for
full refund. Took it this morning to the store and refunded back to my card. I did have a clicking sound prior to the overheating issue. Just hope my next one wont fry any more eggs and sticks to gaming
