Xbox One S TV feature detection

I have a Vizio m43-c1. My X1s detects that it is 4k, but says that my TV cannot do 4k 60hz @10 bits. It is connected to HDMI 5, which is labeled 4k 60hz, and I believe the TV is 10 bit color depth. Do these settings matter at all?

Since i update my xbox360 to 16537,I have a big problem. I connect the xbox360 to my TV with HDMI cable .When I turn on the Display detection( EDID), no voice, xbox360 Display detection say it is DVI. At the same time , i turn one my xbox ,i need
to wait 1 min till i see the Dashboard. If I turn off the Display detection( EDID), that`s OK,

Though i I connect the xbox360 to my TV with VGA cable , sometimes i still wait 1 min till i see the Dashboard.

IF Microstot HK have workers can reply to me in Chinese, i will be very happy.

 

4k TV

An Xbox One right now, no 4k TV will make a difference. It will retain Input at 1080p only. For the Xbox One S and Project Scorpio, start looking for deals and prices like

In addition, to realize the best image possible make sure the 4k TV has HDR as a feature. All 4k TV's do not feature HDR.

I knew mine didn't support HDR. Was mostly just curious why it reports my TV incorrectly.

 

Mine does the same thing but it shows 8 bit and 12 bit. Also when I go to Netflix there is no 4k.

 

Same problem here, but it says my TV is incapable of displaying in 4K at all, no streaming, no upscaling, no BR/video.

Pretty *** annoyed, this is the only reason why I got the thing

The troubleshooting guide doesn't help at all. There is no resason for the Xbox to not allow native 2160p just because it's not 10 bit color.

My tv does all the resolutions listed with the HZ and I can only get 2160p on the blu-Ray app. The home screen should have 2160p no problem. My Roku 4 does this no problem and it cost me a lot less.

 

No help at all. According to Rtings, my TV is 10 bit but the Xbox says its not.

 

Also have a similar problem, reporting that my tv can support 4k @ 60hz but not 10 bit @ 24 / 50 / 60hz, also says to go back and enable hdr but when i go back the option is greyed out? Moved to a diff hdmi and enabled deep colour which clears the above
messages but instead i get a flicker every 2 - 3 secs. Also youtube displays the 4k icon on content but i cannot watch it as such. I know i can watch youtube / netflix in uhd because the tvs native app does it easily. I can also play uhd blurays.

Contacted xb support and the end of the conversation was "consult your tv manufacturer" so no help there. Bit frustrating as i also cant find the die hard specs for the tv, only the usual marketing fluff, my sky q box is displaying at 2160 / 50hz in 10 bit
(apparently according to the box) and it has no probs with DC being on.

 

Well I hope Xbox sends an update it's obviously an issue since so many people are reporting it.

 

And I'm finding a lot of conflicting info about my TV. Half the pages I read about it say it is 10 bit and the other half say it's not. Official pages on it don't say either way.

Would be nice if you guys posted a list of tv's that support everything, and those that support everything except HDRI.

 

just to give an update, bought a hdmi cheap cable and my errors are gone now except for the "back up and check allow hdr" this option is still greyed out despite the console telling me to turn it on. appears cable may be part of issue at least for lg owners.

 

I am hoping they can make the native 2160p available even without 10-bit. Roku 4 does it with no issue. Netflix wont work because no native 2160p even though it works fine on Roku so I know my tv is fine.
