    Xbox One S turns Xbox One X off and on


    I upgraded to One X and my daughter now uses One S. I have changed her profile to be main on that console. Controllers never crossed, using One X one that came with it. Many times when she turns on One S it shuts my One X off or turns it on. I am not sure
    what else to do. I have tried searching, but most have issues with it turning on by itself. It doesnt do that. I have looked in settings and cannot figure out what needs changed.

    It was most likley was getting to hot.When a xbox one, s, or x get to hot, they turn off to prevent over heating.

    I have an Xbox One X downstairs and my One S Is upstairs as a media player. Every now and then if I shut off the X and go upstairs and turn on the S it won't quite grab on to live without a restart. As others said, just a restart, odds are good you are

    Turns out it was somehow trying to connect to either the xbox one s or xbox series s consoles in my house for some reason. Turning them off fixed it.

    Sidenote: In all my experiences with wireless xbox controllers (xbox 360, xbox one, xbox series x/s) the sync button needs to be held to be put into pairing mode (quarter ring rotating clockwise /flashing xbox logo), while the button on the console needs a single press, if it helps anyone.
